May 19 NBA Prop Bet Tips
LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors
Over 26.5 Points (-112)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.89 units)
The Lakers took it easy with James in his latest return from an ankle injury, letting him play no more than 28 minutes in either of their final two games. However, he still scored 24 and 25 points, respectively. Who, exactly, is going to guard him on the Warriors? Andrew Wiggins? Kent Bazemore? Neither of them is a match for James’ strength, so expect him to have a big scoring performance and make a statement that he’s ready to take the Lakers on a lengthy playoff run.
Andrew Wiggins, Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers
Under 20.5 Points (-120)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.83 units)
The Lakers have held Wiggins in check this season, limiting him to 18 points or fewer in each of their three meetings. In one of those games, he only scored three points. As much as the Warriors need him to provide support for Stephen Curry, I’ll take the under here with him facing the team that had the best defensive rating in the league during the regular season.
Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis Grizzlies vs. San Antonio Spurs
Over 5.5 Rebounds (-140)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.71 units)
The Grizzlies were cautious with Jackson’s return from injury for this very moment. They wanted him to be healthy for the playoffs, and he showed that he is just that when he logged 31 minutes in their season finale against the Warriors.
Even with his limited playing time down the stretch, he grabbed at least six rebounds in five of his last nine games. Facing a Spurs team that allowed the sixth-most rebounds per game in the league leaves him with a favorable opportunity to hit the over.
