With 10 games on Tuesday’s NBA slate, let’s take a look at the three best NBA bets today that could be profitable.

NBA Bets 2/8/22: Houston Rockets @ New Orleans Pelicans
Best Bet: Pelicans -9.5 (-110) at FOX Bet
Wager: 0.5 Units
The Pelicans pulled off a massive trade today in which they will be acquiring C.J. McCollum, Larry Nance, and Tony Snell from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for four players and three draft picks. This certainly changes things.
Still, New Orleans and Houston just played each other on Sunday, with the Pelicans easily covering this number in a 120-107 road win over the Rockets. Tonight, the Pelicans will be at home.
This season, the Rockets rank 18th in points per game, but they also rank dead last in points allowed, giving up an astonishing 117 points per contest.
The Pelicans were already 7-point favorites before the trade, but the line has gone up by 2.5 points since the trade. The Pelicans were struggling on offense, but McCollum provides an instant spark with his scoring ability. As for the Rockets, they will be without one of their leading scorers in Eric Gordon.
Assuming New Orleans’ new players are able to make it to the game in time to suit up, the Smoothie King Center will be going crazy. Expect another Pelicans victory by double digits in today’s NBA bet of the day.

NBA Bets 2/8/22: New York Knicks @ Denver Nuggets
Best Bet: Nuggets -6.5 (-118) at FOX Bet
Wager: 1 Unit
With the Knicks sporting a 24-29 record and sitting 12th in the East, it makes you wonder if they’ll do anything at the trade deadline to help provide some kind of boost to this ailing offense.
The Knicks rank 27th in the league in scoring at just over 104 points per game. Their only saving grace has been their defense, which has held opponents to around 105 per outing.
Meanwhile, the promising Nuggets have been dealing with injury after injury all season long. Still, they’re an average-to-above-average team offensively (about 109 points per game) and defensively (around 107 points allowed per contest).
Tonight is the Knicks’ third game in four nights and the second of a back-to-back. It’s unlikely their defense will hold up having played so much recently, and they simply don’t have the offense to stay in this one.
I’ll take the Nuggets by double-digits here.
NBA Bets 2/8/22: Orlando Magic @ Portland Trail Blazers
Best Bet: Trail Blazers -3.5 (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 0.5 Units
If you’re on the East Coast like me, there’s nothing better than watching two bad teams duke it out until one in the morning.
I’m kidding, of course, but yes, this is a battle between two not-so-good teams. The Magic are just 12-43 on the season, but they are 4-6 over their last 10. The Trail Blazers are 3-7 over their last 10.
The Blazers have some capable scorers, but they are atrocious on defense, allowing over 112 points per game. Lucky for them, the Magic are 28th in the league in points per game (around 105 PPG) and their defense is just as bad, allowing opponents to score 111 points per game.
Coincidentally, the Trail Blazers average nearly 111 points per game at home. The Magic are well-rested after getting blown out by the Celtics on Sunday, but with a line of 3.5, I’ll take the home team against a putrid Orlando squad.
