The Orioles are set to start Bruce Zimmermann for this matchup, who’s been hammered for a 5.59 ERA, a 5.70 FIP, and a 1.55 WHIP in 38 2/3 innings this year. He’s also struggled to keep the ball in the park, allowing 2.2 HR/9 for his career.
Abreu already has 10 home runs on the year, including two in his last three games. Add in his lifetime .554 slugging percentage against left-handed pitchers, and this could be a wager that is worth taking a chance on with such juicy odds.
Yermin Mercedes, Chicago White Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles

With how poorly Zimmermann has pitched, Abreu isn’t the only member of the White Sox who could be in line for a productive evening. Mercedes has been a pleasant surprise for them this season, batting a league-high .344 with a .912 OPS. He’s been even better against lefties, slashing .450/.488/.650 with 10 RBIs in 43 plate appearances, and he’ll likely have some RBI opportunities tonight with men on base.
Mitch Haniger, Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers

The Rangers are running out of healthy starting pitchers, which is why left-hander Kolby Allard is getting the start for this game despite his career 6.06 ERA. Allard’s pitched exclusively in relief this year, so this could turn into a bullpen game for Texas. That means that Haniger, who has at least one hit in nine of his last 12 games, could notch at least one more base knock in this contest.
