May 12 NBA Prop Bet Tips
Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks vs. Washington Wizards
Over 27.5 Points (-115)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.87 units)
The Hawks pulled out a narrow win against these same Wizards on Monday with Young leading the way. He poured in 36 points on 22 shot attempts and was a perfect 13-for-13 from the charity stripe. Young has been the driving force behind Atlanta’s offense all season and is finishing the season strong with 30+ points in four of the last six games. This is a great matchup for him to thrive again given that Washington plays at the fastest pace in the league.
Lonzo Ball, New Orleans Pelicans @ Dallas Mavericks
Over 5.5 Rebounds (+105)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 2.05 units)
The Pelicans have lost a lot of size up front with Zion Williamson (finger), Brandon Ingram (ankle), and Steven Adams (toe) all dealing with injuries. As a result, Ball has grabbed at least 6 rebounds in eight of the last nine games. Williamson and Ingram should remain out for this game and Adams is listed as questionable, which would leave Ball with additional rebounding opportunities again. Add in plus odds and this might be too good to ignore.
Lonnie Walker, San Antonio Spurs @ Brooklyn Nets
Over 13.5 Points (-140)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.71 units)
When Derrick White (ankle) went down, additional minutes opened up for Walker. He’s taken advantage by scoring at least 16 points in six of the last eight games. The two times he failed to reach that threshold both came against a Jazz team that allows the third-fewest points per game in the league. The same can’t be said of the Nets, who are one of the worst defensive units in the league and could be vulnerable in this second game of a back-to-back.
