March 25 NBA Prop Bet Tips
DeMar DeRozan, San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Clippers
Over 19.5 points (-120)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.83 units)
Even in a down game for the Spurs on Wednesday, DeRozan did his part, putting up 19 points over 28 minutes. With LaMarcus Aldridge no longer on the roster for all practical purposes, DeRozan is Gregg Popovich’s most consistent offensive option, and the veteran wing is averaging 23.2 points per 36 minutes without his teammate on the floor.
DeRozan has at least 20 points in 21 of 33 games this season, and with San Antonio trying to atone for a 33-point loss to the Clippers, he should be aggressive offensively Thursday.
RJ Barrett, New York Knicks vs. Washington Wizards
Under 5.5 Rebounds (+110)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 2.10 units)
This is an interesting price to take a roll of the dice on, as it’s not as if Barrett is a dominating presence on the boards. Barrett is averaging 6.1 rebounds per game, but he’s pulled down just 4.0 rebounds per contest over two games against Washington, including five in Tuesday’s matchup. He’s recorded five boards or less in 20 of 44 games overall, and Washington ranks in the top half of the league in total rebounds per game given up to small forwards (7.4).
Additionally, it’s worth noting Mitchell Robinson — who’s averaging 8.4 rebounds and pulled down 12 in 31 minutes against the Wizards on Tuesday — already played 31 minutes in only his second game back from his hand injury and could vulture plenty of rebounding opportunities again Thursday.
Ben Simmons, Philadelphia 76ers at Los Angeles Lakers
Over 17.5 points (-112)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.89 units)
The Lakers are allowing 25.0 points per game to point guards, and while Simmons has only scored 18 points or more in nine games this season, he’s facing a defensively depleted Lakers team now that LeBron James has joined Anthony Davis on the injured list. That’s particularly true down in the paint, where Simmons scores over 75.0 percent of his points.
Simmons is also shooting a blistering 59.5 percent over his last 18 games, a span during which he’s averaging 19.3 points per contest.
