Who wants to bet against Oral Roberts at this point? Not me.
The story for this game is a matchup between two fast, high-scoring teams. Arkansas averages 82.5 points per game (PPG), which is 12th in the nation. Oral Roberts averages the 16th-most points, at 81.5 PPG. But while both teams rank high in raw points, their offensive efficiency isn’t great, with Arkansas and Oral Roberts ranking 37th and 65th, respectively.
Arkansas actually has the 10th-best defensive efficiency, per KenPom, but you wouldn’t have expected that after watching them allow 50% shooting to Texas Tech from beyond the arc. With a projected game total of 159 points, it doesn’t appear much defense will be on display from them in the Sweet 16 either.
Given the point total and how Oral Roberts has proven the ability to score against both Ohio State and Florida, 11.5 is too large of a spread. Even if they do not outright win, I expect the Golden Eagles to hang around until the final buzzer.
