It was another down week in Week 5, as the Detroit Lions/Minnesota Vikings was surprisingly low-scoring while the Bills/Chiefs just barely went Over the total. It’s been a tough season for parlays, but all it takes is one big week and we’re back even.
Luckily, my Team vs Team predictions have been successful, as I’m currently up over 10 units for the season. It’s time to get the Parlay picks to follow suit.

NFL Week 6 Parlay Picks
Wager: 1 unit to win 5.96 units
- Carolina Panthers +2.5 (-105) Spread at BetMGM (vs Minnesota Vikings)
- Kansas City Chiefs -6.5 (-115) Spread at BetMGM (at Washington Football Team)
- Las Vegas Raiders +4 (-110) Spread at BetMGM (at Denver Broncos)
Carolina Panthers +2.5 (-105) Spread at BetMGM (vs Minnesota Vikings)
The Panthers rank No. 2 in pass DVOA and No. 12 in rush DVOA, while the Vikings are No. 6 in pass DVOA and No. 20 in rush DVOA. Carolina is coming off a disappointing home loss to the Eagles, where they blew a 15-3 lead. Minnesota squeaked out a tight win over the division-rival Lions.
We could see Christian McCaffrey return for the Panthers in this game, which would be great news for an offense in a terrific bounce-back spot against an exploitable Vikings defense. I believe that the Panthers should be favored in this game, so let’s take advantage of them as home underdogs.
Kansas City Chiefs -6.5 (-115) Spread at BetMGM (at Washington Football Team)
The Chiefs are coming off an embarrassing 38-20 home loss to the Bills on Sunday Night Football. This puts last year’s Super Bowl finalists at a surprising 2-3 start to the season. It’s tough to imagine seeing Patrick Mahomes and company fall to 2-4 here.
This is a terrific matchup for the Chiefs’ passing game, as Washington comes in at No. 29 in pass DVOA, allowing 301.4 passing yards per game. They just got shredded by Jameis Winston, who threw for 279 yards and 4 touchdowns. Look for the Chiefs to roll in this spot.
Las Vegas Raiders +4 (-110) Spread at BetMGM (at Denver Broncos)
The Raiders are coming off of consecutive losses to the Chargers and Bears, while the Broncos have also lost two in a row to the Ravens and Steelers. Las Vegas will play their first game under new interim head coach Rich Bisaccia.
You have to wonder how much the Jon Gruden situation served as a distraction for the team. We often see teams come out strong in their first game with a new coach during a midseason coaching change, so we could see that in this spot with the Raiders.
I like getting the hook with 3.5 points in a game that projects as a close one between two division rivals.
NFL Week 6 Longshot Parlay Prediction
Wager: 1 unit to win 2.99 units
- Kansas City Chiefs (-275) Moneyline at BetMGM (at Washington Football Team)
- Indianapolis Colts (-500) Moneyline at BetMGM (vs Houston Texans)
- Los Angeles Rams (-450) Moneyline at BetMGM (at New York Giants)
- Pittsburgh Steelers (-200) Moneyline at BetMGM (vs Seattle Seahawks)
- Green Bay Packers (-250) Moneyline at BetMGM (at Chicago Bears)
Kansas City Chiefs (-275) Moneyline at BetMGM (at Washington Football Team)
I just can’t see the Chiefs falling to 2-4 against a disappointing Washington team that can’t seem to stop anyone on defense. Taking the moneyline here can also act as a hedge against our point spread bet.
We don’t want to get burned with a backdoor cover, so we’ll add the Chiefs on the moneyline.
Indianapolis Colts (-500) Moneyline at BetMGM (vs Houston Texans)
The Colts are 10-point favorites against the Texans, who nearly knocked off the Patriots last week with rookie Davis Mills coming out of nowhere to throw for 312 yards on 10.8 yards per attempt. I’m not buying it with the rookie, especially after he really struggled in the previous two games.
The Colts had a close road loss to the Ravens on Monday Night Football, so look for a bounce-back at home.
Los Angeles Rams (-450) Moneyline at BetMGM (at New York Giants)
The Giants are absolutely depleted right now and are likely to be without quarterback Daniel Jones, running back Saquon Barkley, and wideout Kenny Golladay in this game. We could also see fellow wide receivers Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, and Darius Slayton miss this one as well.
That doesn’t bode well in a game where they play the Super Bowl contending Rams.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-200) Moneyline at BetMGM (vs Seattle Seahawks)
The Steelers’ offense showed some signs of life last week, with Ben Roethlisberger throwing for 253 yards on 10.1 yards per attempt against a tough Broncos defense. They now take on a Seahawks team that will start Geno Smith at quarterback with Russell Wilson sidelined with a broken finger.
Expect Pittsburgh to take care of business here.
Green Bay Packers (-250) Moneyline at BetMGM (at Chicago Bears)
The Bears got an upset road win over the Raiders last week, but this offense is still struggling to score points. They’ve averaged only 16.2 points per game this season, which is bad news against Aaron Rodgers and the prolific Packers offense.
Green Bay should get it done for a road win.
Same Game Parlay Picks Week 6
Wager: 1 unit to win 2.45 units
- Detroit Lions +3.5 (-110) Spread at DraftKings (vs Cincinnati Bengals)
- Bengals/Lions Over 46.5 Points (-110) Total at DraftKings
The Lions can’t seem to buy a win this season, suffering yet another close loss in Week 5, this time to the Vikings. Detroit has lost by 8 points or less in three out of their five games this season, including two losses by 2 points. They’re playing competitive football right now.
The Lions rank No. 27 in pass DVOA and No. 28 in rush DVOA, so this game can easily turn into a shootout against a Bengals offense flush with playmakers like Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Joe Mixon, and Joe Burrow.
Take the home underdog and the Over in this spot.
