With a small slate of only three NBA games tonight, Kevin Davis aka Professor Props is giving out his best NBA player props today. See which four players he is targeting for tonight’s NBA action.

All NBA gameday odds and lines are current as of Tuesday, November 9, at 4:00 p.m. ET.

NBA Prop Bets of the Day: Best Basketball Props Today 11/9/21

Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz (9:00 pm ET)

Clint Capela: Under 10.5 Points (-105) at DraftKings

Wager: 2 Units

The Atlanta Hawks have many mouths to feed on offense. They have a high-volume shooting backcourt led by Trae Young and Bogdan Bogdanovic, along with a frontcourt headed by John Collins and De’Andre Hunter. Additionally, the Hawks have Danilo Gallinari and Kevin Huerter coming off the bench.

With so many active shooters on Atlanta’s roster, this leaves limited opportunities for center Clint Capela, especially against a Utah Jazz defense allowing the seventh-fewest points per game in the NBA.

Capela hasn’t been much of a factor offensively this year, averaging just 9.6 points per game. His field goal attempts are down to 8.0 per game, while his 51.1% FG% is his lowest since his rookie season.

While Capela’s scoring should improve as the season progresses, he has the misfortune of going up against three-time NBA defensive player of the year Rudy Gobert tonight. Opposing centers are only making 46.5% of field-goal attempts against Utah, which is the fifth-lowest in the NBA.

Accordingly, Capela is unlikely to get much offensive usage in tonight’s game and will likely end up with 10 points or fewer, which is why we’re taking the Under here.

Rudy Gobert: Over 13.5 Rebounds (-105) at WynnBet

Wager: 1.5 Units

While Capela will have a tough time tonight, I expect Gobert to have a great game. Gobert is currently averaging an NBA-high 16.1 rebounds per game, which is the highest of his career. While 13.5 rebounds is a lot for most, Gobert has averaged at least that many in three straight seasons.

Gobert has tallied at least 14 rebounds in six of his 10 games this season. He also boasts a total rebound percentage of 27.4% which on pace to be the second-highest ever in a single season. Only Dennis Rodman during the 1994-1995 campaign had a higher total-rebound percentage.

I am typically not a fan of betting high Overs, but Gobert should grab at least 14 boards in tonight’s game.

Portland Trail Blazers at Los Angeles Clippers (10:00 pm ET)

CJ McCollum: Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (-141) at BetRivers

Wager: 2 Units

CJ McCollum‘s three-pointer prop is set at 2.5 for tonight’s game, which is surprising given that he’s averaged 3.2 over his past three seasons combined.

While McCollum has seen his three-point attempts increase in each of his last five seasons, he’s remained one of the most accurate shooters in the game. He connected on 40.2% of his shots from behind the arc last year and is shooting 40.6% this year.

With McCollum averaging just under 10 three-point attempts per game this season, he should see enough volume to make at least three of them — which he’s done in eight of his 10 games this season. The Over is a bargain at -141, making this our NBA bet of the day.

Jusuf Nurkic: Under 11.5 Points (-110) at DraftKings

Wager: 1 Unit

While McCollum should have a big game offensively, center Jusuf Nurkic should have a quiet night. Nurkic is averaging 11.5 points per game for the second consecutive season and has scored less than that in three of his last four games. He’s also averaging just 8.0 field-goal attempts per game — his fewest since 2015-16.

What’s more, the Los Angeles Clippers allow opposing centers to score on only 43.3% of their field-goal attempts, which is the second-lowest in the NBA. With Damian Lillard and McCollum set to lead the charge against a strong Clippers defense, Nurkic probably won’t get enough opportunities to score 12+ points in tonight’s game.
