NBA Bets of the Day 11/5/21
Brooklyn Nets @ Detroit Pistons, 7:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Brooklyn Nets -10 (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
The 5-3 Brooklyn Nets have looked solid without Kyrie Irving to start the season and now they’ll have the chance to feast on one of the worst teams in the NBA. The Detroit Pistons are 1-7 and first overall pick Cade Cunningham is showing his inexperience, going 1-for-21 from beyond the arc to begin his NBA career.
These are two teams going in opposite directions. Double-digit spreads are tough to cover in the NBA, especially on the road, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Brooklyn blows Detroit out by 20 or more.
Don’t be discouraged by the hefty spread on our NBA gameday odds and back the vastly better team.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Golden State Warriors, 10:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Golden State Warriors -9 (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
Like the Nets best bet above, I’m targeting another matchup between a contender and a bottom-feeder. The Golden State Warriors have started fast at 6-1, while the New Orleans Pelicans have the worst record in the NBA at 1-8.
The Pelicans have pieces in place, but with Brandon Ingram (hip) still questionable to play, the Warriors could have their way offensively tonight. Golden State’s been playing like the Warriors of old recently and I expect them to continue that trend against a battered New Orleans team that’s just 4-5 against the spread.
I’m taking Stephen Curry and the red-hot Warriors as significant home favorites for my NBA bet of the day.
Charlotte Hornets @ Sacramento Kings, 10:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Under 231 Total Points (-110) at BetMGM
Wager: 0.5 Units
This total is extremely high to say the least. The Charlotte Hornets and Sacramento Kings both have high-powered offenses at times, but both teams have had only one game in each of their past five that produced at least 231 total points.
I’m not expecting a low-scoring game here by any means, but I do believe it falls under the betting total. While both teams have gifted point guards, the supplemental pieces around LaMelo Ball and De’Aaron Fox have been prone to vanishing.
Back the Under for a small wager.
