Frank Ammirante is here with your NBA Best Bets for October 29, 2021 action. See our best NBA bet picks today.

We got off to a 1-3 start to the season, as the Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, and Milwaukee Bucks surprisingly lost at home to the Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards, and Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this week.

Fortunately, we have seven games on tonight’s NBA slate, including an underdog and some interesting totals to target.

Let’s dive in to find out which are my favorite NBA bets for today.

All NBA gameday odds and lines are current as of 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday, October 29.

NBA Bets of the Day 10/29/21

Orlando Magic @ Toronto Raptors, 7:00 p.m. ET

Best Bet: Magic +8 (-110) at Caesars

The Magic are one of the worst teams in basketball, getting off to a 1-4 start to the season. Their losing margins have been by 9, 17, 24, and 26 points. Their lone win was an upset on the road against the New York Knicks.

You might ask yourself, why are you betting on the Magic here? The reason is simple: Toronto (2-3) has no business laying eight points to any team right now.

The Raptors have been inconsistent to start the season, with impressive wins against the Pacers and Celtics mixed with ugly losses to the Bulls, Mavericks, and Wizards. This team can get into prolonged droughts on the offensive end, especially with Pascal Siakam still out of the lineup.

I know it can be hard to stomach laying a bet on such a bad Magic team, but they do have some young talent like Mo Bamba, Cole Anthony, and Jalen Suggs.

Look for the Raptors to win, but the Magic to stay within eight points.

Sacramento Kings @ New Orleans Pelicans, 8:00 p.m. ET

Best Bet: Under 221 Points (-110) at Caesars

The Kings currently rank eighth in Pace and No. 26 in Defensive Rating. Their games have gone for 217, 226, 211, and 245 points this season. However, this looks like a good spot for an Under.

The reason for this is because the Pelicans rank No. 20 in pace and No. 27 in Offensive Rating. Their games have combined for 201, 205, 185, 240, and 215 points this season.

This just seems like a high bar for a team like New Orleans, especially since they have a chance to win this game, which would likely mean that they dictate the tempo at a slower pace.

Ride with the Under here with this struggling offensive team slowing the game down.

Los Angeles Clippers @ Portland Trail Blazers, 10:00 p.m. ET

Best Bet: Over 222 Points (-110) at Caesars

This game looks like it’ll be one of the highest-scoring games on the slate, making this our NBA bet of the day.

The Clippers and Blazers rank ninth and second in pace, respectively. This projects as a close game with Portland coming in as 3-point favorites, giving us an outside chance for overtime.

Clippers’ games have gone for 181, 202, 234, and 228 points this season, while Blazers’ games have combined for 216, 202, 239, and 245 points.

Last time these two teams met on October 25, the total went for 202 points, but that was a Clippers blowout. Expect a bounce-back from Portland this time around, resulting in a higher scoring game.
