Trea Turner led the majors with a .328 batting average this year, but he isn’t merely a singles hitter. He has plenty of power, too, as evidenced by his NL-leading 319 total bases which were fueled by his career-high 28 home runs.
Turner has averaged 2.2 total bases per game while slugging .536 this year. He also ended the season on fire with a 19-game hitting streak, batting .403/.459/.740 with 12 extra-base hits during that span.
For this MLB bet of the day to cash, all Turner has to do is notch an extra-base hit or a couple of singles. That shouldn’t be too difficult for one of the best hitters in baseball, especially given his strong career numbers against Adam Wainwright (.421/.421/.526).

AJ Pollock Over 0.5 Home Runs (+375) at BetMGM
I have no idea what’s gotten into AJ Pollock lately, but I think everyone wants what he’s eating for breakfast. Since the beginning of September, Pollock has a .348 average, 1.342 OPS, .565 ISO, and .525 wOBA against right-handed pitchers.
He also finished the season on an absolute tear, clubbing five home runs over his final eight games to finish the year with 21 dingers, matching his career-high.

That makes Pollock a great bet to go deep in the NL Wild Card Game, especially against Wainwright. Wainwright allowed 21 long balls this year, including three over his final two starts. Given Pollock’s solid career numbers against him (3-for-8 with a double) and how well he’s been swinging the bat lately, don’t be surprised if he gets a hold of one.
