MLB Props of the Day: Best Baseball Props Today 8/26/21
Max Scherzer, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers at San Diego Padres
After a 16-inning marathon Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers would love to have Max Scherzer pitch deep into this game. He’s been one of the best strikeout pitchers in baseball this year and has recorded at least seven punchouts in eight of his last 10 starts — two of which came against the San Diego Padres. The 6.5 line is awfully appealing here, which makes Scherzer one of our top MLB prop picks today.
MLB Prop Bet: Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-160)

Paul Goldschmidt, 1B, St. Louis Cardinals at Pittsburgh Pirates
A good strategy for MLB player prop bets is targeting weak opposing pitchers, and the Pittsburgh Pirates are sending one to the mound tonight in Mitch Keller. In addition to carrying a 6.35 ERA, Keller has a bloated 1.82 WHIP and is allowing opponents to bat .316/.398/.500 against him.
That makes this a tasty matchup for Paul Goldschmidt, who’s been an RBI machine lately with 18 RBIs in 21 games this month. Goldschmidt’s also been one of baseball’s hottest hitters in August, batting .345/.396/.571 with 11 extra-base hits. With the St. Louis Cardinals likely to have plenty of baserunners against Keller, Goldschmidt should have several opportunities to drive in runs.
MLB Prop Bet: To Record An RBI (+130)

Jesus Aguilar, 1B, Miami Marlins vs Washington Nationals
If you haven’t been keeping up with the Miami Marlins, you might not know that Jesus Aguilar is currently leading the National League in RBIs (89). He and the Marlins are in a good spot tonight against Washington Nationals lefty Patrick Corbin, who has a 5.82 ERA and has allowed the most earned runs (86) and home runs (29) in the NL this year.
Much of Corbin’s struggles have come against right-handed hitters, who’ve teed off on him for 27 homers and a .373 wOBA this season. That bodes well for a righty slugger like Aguilar, who’s gone deep 22 times this year and has knocked in 13 runs over his last 15 games. With these odds and Aguilar’s impressive RBI total, this is one of the best MLB player props today.
