MLB Betting Props of the Day: Best Baseball Props Today 7/22/21
Nelson Cruz, Minnesota Twins vs. Los Angeles Angels
To Record An RBI (+105)
Wager: 0.75 units (win would pay 1.54 units)
The Twins have underperformed this year, but Cruz has continued to flourish with 19 home runs, 50 RBIs, and a .907 OPS across 85 games. He’s in line for another productive game against the Angels’ Andrew Heaney, who has an 8.49 ERA and a .927 opponent OPS over his last five starts. Cruz has also dominated left-handed pitching throughout his career with a .275 ISO and a .402 wOBA.
Sean Manaea, Oakland Athletics at Seattle Mariners
Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-120)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.83 units)
Manaea has made improvements in the strikeout department this season with a 25.3% strikeout rate that is nearly five percentage points higher than his career mark (20.6%). The last time he faced Seattle on June 2, he recorded eight strikeouts in a complete-game shutout. Given that the Mariners have the fifth-highest strikeout rate in baseball at 26.2%, Manaea has a favorable opportunity to hit the over in tonight’s rematch.
Adbert Alzolay, Chicago Cubs at St. Louis Cardinals
Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-140)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.71 units)
While Alzolay has struggled against lefties this season, he’s dominated righties to the tune of a .230 wOBA, a .277 slugging percentage, and a 29.4% strikeout rate. The Cardinals have a righty-heavy lineup that only has a .677 OPS vs. RHP this season, so this could be a tough matchup for them. When Alzolay faced them previously this season, he allowed two runs and recorded six strikeouts over seven innings.
