1/6/21 NBA Player Prop Bets: Bam Adebayo, Russell Westbrook

Last Updated: Jan 8, 2021

1/6/21 NBA Player Prop Bets: Mike Barner is back with your Jan. 6 NBA player prop bet tips.

Harrison Barnes came through for us Monday, but failing to hit on my other two player props brought my season record to 5-8 (-4.15 units). I’ll look to even things up Wednesday with three more wagers to consider on a busy 11-game slate

All odds were obtained from PointsBet.

1/6/21 NBA Player Prop Bets

Bam Adebayo, Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics

Over 16.5 Points (-125)

Wager: 1.25 units (win would pay 2.25)

The last time we saw Adebayo face the Celtics, he was torching them in the Eastern Conference Finals. He averaged 21.8 points a game during the series, scoring at least 18 points in five of six contests.

Despite being involved in a few blowouts this season that has limited his playing time, Adebayo has scored a least 17 points in five of six contests.

This should be a close battle between two of the best teams in the East, so I like Adebayo’s chances of hitting the Over.

Harrison Barnes, Sacramento Kings vs. Chicago Bulls

Over 21.5 Points + Rebounds (-125)

Wager: 1.25 units (win would pay 2.25)

Let’s go back to the well with Barnes, this time with a combined totals prop. He plays a ton, which has helped him average 16.6 points and 8.1 rebounds a game. In fact, he has at least 22 combined points and rebounds in five of seven games. The two times that he failed to reach that threshold came in matchups against the Suns and Nuggets, both of which rank inside the bottom-10 in the league in pace of play. The same can’t be said of the Bulls, who have played at the second-fastest pace.

Russell Westbrook, Washington Wizards at Philadelphia 76ers

Over 41.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-114)

Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 2.35)

For the first time all season, Westbrook did not log a triple-double in his last game against the Nets. He didn’t flop, though, with 24 points, five rebounds and 10 assists. His numbers could have actually been even better had he not shot just 7-for-25 from the field.

He plays a ton, is averaging 11.2 rebounds and 11.8 assists and he has a monster 30 percent usage rate, so I’ll take the over despite this hefty total. When these two teams faced off earlier this season, Westbrook recorded 47 combined points, rebounds and assists.
