Villanova vs Houston Parlays | CBB Same Game Parlay Best Bets

Last Updated: Mar 26, 2022

It’s been noted all over sports media that the Houston Cougars were better than their five-seed reflected. After they knocked off the Arizona Wildcats on Thursday night, most sports fans are now in agreement.

Houston will be looking to make the Final Four for the second-straight season with a completely different roster. However, the Cougars will have to take care of business against Villanova.

The Villanova Wildcats continue to dominate in March and are looking to win their third Championship under head coach Jay Wright. The coaching matchup between Kelvin Sampson and Wright is going to be electric. These are truly two of the best coaches in college basketball.

Here’s our same-game parlay for this exciting matchup in the Elite 8.

Please note that all March Madness odds are current as of Saturday, March 26, at 11 a.m. ET on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Houston-Villanova Same-Game Parlay

Houston has been on fire recently, but let’s not take away from what Villanova has done. The Wildcats have only lost one game since February 22 — a two-point loss to Connecticut.

Free-throw shooting is going to be crucial in this game. Villanova is shooting 82.6% from the line, while Houston is hitting just 66.7%.

Plus, Houston fouls at a high rate due to its aggressive defensive style. That won’t work against the Wildcats, who don’t turn the ball over that often.

The Wildcats won’t get the easiest of shots in this game, but they will get a solid portion of points at the foul line. Not only will that help them win this game, but those points will be earned with the time stopped, helping the Over for this game hit as well.

If Villanova can get out to an early lead in the first half, there’s a good chance they hold onto the lead throughout. To enhance the odds a little bit, we added Villanova to win in the first half and full game in the same-game parlay.

After all, this is the Elite 8. Anything can happen. Both teams are terrific, but to me, personally, this game comes down to foul shooting and Villanova blows Houston away in that category.

Let’s cash in on this prediction and make this our CBB bet of the day.

Villanova vs Houston Longshot Same Game Parlay

Parlay Odds: (+650) at DraftKings Sportsbook

  • Villanova Over 63.5 Points
  • Villanova Winning Margin 5+
  • Collin Gillespie Over 14.5 Points
  • Jermaine Samuels Over 7.5 Rebounds

Houston vs Villanova Longshot Parlay

The one team you just don’t want to send to the line is Villanova, hands down. But it’s going to happen in this game.

Collin Gillespie that will benefit from this the most. He didn’t sniff the line against Michigan, but look for that to change here. He’s shooting over 90% from the foul line and averaging roughly three attempts at the stripe per game for his career.

Lastly, Jermaine Samuels has dominated the glass ever since Big East Tournament play began, averaging 8.7 rebounds over his last six games. With some really good defense on both ends of the floor, you can expect Samuels to drag down plenty of rebounds as he gets over 35 minutes in this game.
