The No. 9 Chicago Bulls will take on the No. 8 Miami Heat in the final game of the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament. The winner will head to Boston for a battle with the Celtics, while the loser’s season will officially come to an end.
The Bulls blew out the Atlanta Hawks to reach this stage, while the Heat were defeated by the Philadelphia 76ers. Miami will be without Jimmy Butler for Friday’s action (and beyond, if the Heat advance), putting Chicago in a much more favorable position.

Bulls vs Heat Player Props
Coby White: Over 20.5 Points (-115) @ Heat
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
White popped off for a career-high 42 points in Wednesday’s victory over the Hawks, showcasing exactly why he should be considered among the NBA’s most improved players this season. We should hardly expect a repeat performance against the Heat, but this 20.5-point line feels more than attainable.
The 24-year-old averaged 20.5 points per game in four matchups with Miami and hit the Over in two, scoring as many as 26 and as few as 14. He’s cooled off a bit since the All-Star break, but he clearly has what it takes to reach another level when the stakes are highest.
I expect Chicago to look to get White going early, and particularly from beyond the arc. He went 3-for-7 from outside against Atlanta and sank exactly four threes in each meeting with the Heat, so this is a spot where he can build some consistency whether he starts hot or cold.
The Bulls will need everything they can get from White if they’re to upset Miami. I believe he’ll follow up his career performance with another strong outing, so I’m taking the Over with my NBA bet of the day.
Jaime Jaquez Jr.: Over 13.5 Points (-118) vs Bulls
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
With Butler sidelined, the Heat desperately need someone to step up and carry a heavier offensive load. Jaquez has done so time and time again throughout the regular season, making him a prime candidate to surpass his scoring prop on Friday.
Jaquez averaged 15.4 points in 22 games without Butler this year, scoring 14-plus in 14. Plus, in four matchups against Chicago — all with Butler — Jaquez poured in 16.3 points per game. Among those, he scored 18-plus all three times he logged at least 30 minutes.
Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, and Jaquez should be expected to serve as Miami’s primary scorers. This line is the most favorable of the three, so don’t look back at (-118).
Bulls vs Heat Prop Bets
Bulls: 1Q +0.5 (-118) @ Heat
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
The Bulls have struggled in first quarters this season, but that hardly seemed to be an issue in Wednesday’s win over the Hawks. Chicago outscored Atlanta by 18 in the opening frame behind DeMar DeRozan’s 11 points and five assists.

Miami is obviously a different opponent, and this is far more complicated than a matter of maintaining momentum. With that said, the Bulls look hot right now, and they know they have an opportunity to throw the first punch on Friday with Butler sidelined.
As long as Chicago can continue executing at this level, there’s no reason why it can’t cover this first-quarter spread against the Heat.
