Jalen Brunson has been a standout performer throughout the NBA’s inaugural In-Season Tournament, propelling the New York Knicks to the quarterfinals against the Milwaukee Bucks in what should be a highly-contested rematch.
When these two teams met on Nov. 3 in group play, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks had the last laugh, narrowly defeating the Knicks 110-105.

The last time these two teams met, Brunson scored 45 points while shooting a hyper-efficient 17-of-30 from the floor. Damian Lillard had no answer for Brunson defensively, and his heroic efforts were almost enough for the Knicks to win despite no other player scoring more than 17 points.
The Knicks outscored the Bucks in three of four quarters played in their last meeting, proving they can hang with what many view as one of the few legitimate NBA Finals contenders.
The Knicks also didn’t have RJ Barrett in that game. Assuming Brunson gets more help from Julius Randle, a healthy Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley, the Knicks should get revenge in this game.

His excellent play throughout the In-Season Tournament has carried the Knicks to this point, and this game against the Bucks should be no different given Milwaukee’s lackluster defense.
With Randle seemingly over his early-season struggles and Barrett back in the lineup, the Knicks can win this game outright.
However, the 6-point spread feels too large, making this my NBA bet of the day.

The Bucks have been among the worst first-quarter teams in the NBA against the spread this season. Conversely, the Knicks have been one of the league’s better first-quarter/half teams since last year.
The Knicks should be able to get out to an early lead against the Bucks, putting them in a prime position to win the game outright. Given the odds, this is a value bet worth making.
