Formula One returns to Las Vegas for the first time since the 1982 Caesars Palace Grand Prix. Max Verstappen will look to win his record-setting 18th race of the season, while Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, and the remainder of the grid look to unseat the 2023 Drivers’ Champion for at least one more race.
The Las Vegas GP is also the penultimate race of the 2023 season.
As the sun sets on this F1 season, let’s look at the odds and best bets for the late-night race for the podium on the Las Vegas Strip.

F1 Las Vegas GP Winner Prediction
Max Verstappen (-400)
This is far from a lock as we have zero course history. Verstappen remains a heavy favorite because he is the best driver in the best car on the grid.
F1 Las Vegas GP Max Verstappen Tips
Verstappen is a no-bet at (-400) to win the Las Vegas GP. The odds are too juiced to consider wagering on the multi-time Drivers’ Champion.
As I have recommended, when betting on the Belgian-Dutch driver, look for plus-money or near-plus EV odds on him winning the GP, as well as winning qualifying.
Any sort of prop that can give you better odds on the best driver in the race, you target it.
F1 Las Vegas GP Best Prop Bets
Yes: Will The Driver Who Starts From Pole Position Also Win Race? (-110)
BetMGM Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
This is an easy workaround to getting Verstappen to win while also starting from the pole position. This is a five-cent savings over the same wager on FanDuel.
Under 16.5 Classified Drivers (+105)
FanDuel Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
The Vegas track is new and will be an issue all weekend. In the heat of the race, a lot can happen, especially when the race takes place at night, like this weekend.
There are also a number of drivers I do not trust to finish each week with track history. Now, they’ll be expected to be at their best in a new environment with an odd local race start time (9 p.m. Pacific Time). Give me all the plus-money wagers.
Lance Stroll: Not To Be Classified (+330)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
Stroll is one of those drivers I do not trust, especially considering his history as a driver and the continued questions about his status with Aston Martin. The Canadian-Belgian has four DNFs in 2023, with the most recent happening in Mexico City two races ago.
Stroll has an odd thing happening following DNFs (puts on tin foil hat). He’ll finish the next race (good), but then worse in the second race following a retirement in two of three instances that we can look at his finishes. Stroll finished 5th in São Paulo last race. The Las Vegas GP is race two following his latest DNF.
