The Royals have gotten off to a rough start, but they have a clear pitching advantage this evening with Michael Lorenzen going up against Reese Olson. The latter has accumulated a 6.00 ERA through three starts, opening the door for Kansas City to finally get some runs on the board.
I’m also leaning toward the Under at 8 runs between the Giants and Phillies. These teams combined for 15 on Wednesday, but there will be better pitchers on the mound this afternoon, and I’m especially high on what Cristopher Sánchez has accomplished for Philadelphia so far this season.

I’m on Los Angeles to cover the run line. The Angels have lost two low-scoring games in a row in Arlington, but they have a good opportunity to stay competitive this evening with Kumar Rocker on the mound. The 2022 first-round pick has struggled this season, posting a 7.94 ERA through three starts.
Neither team has had much success at the plate this year, but the starting pitching on both sides makes me lean toward the Over at 9.5 runs. Los Angeles is going with Jack Kochanowicz opposite Rocker, and he’s notched a 5.74 ERA in his first three starts.
Trout is batting an inefficient .190, but half of his 12 hits have been home runs, and he appears due for another. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him knock one out of the park early.
