Super Bowl 58 IDP Rankings

Last Updated: Feb 9, 2024

Welcome to the Super Bowl 58 update. I finished the 2023 NFL regular season as the No. 3 in-season IDP ranker on FantasyPros.

It was a disappointing result after holding down the No. 2 spot practically all season; however, I am proud that this is my third season in a row with a top-three finish.

In this article, I will provide weekly IDP fantasy football rankings and weekly IDP waiver wire pickups during the season.

In the offseason, I will build dynasty IDP rankings and as we approach the NFL Draft, I’ll build rookie IDP rankings here on this page.

I recommend absorbing as much IDP info as you can because there’s so many details, injuries, snap counts, shifting roles, and more on defense that it’s best to dive into as many points of view as possible.

IDP Super Bowl 58 Rankings

These Super Bowl 58 IDP fantasy football rankings are current as of Friday, Feb. 9.

There is no industry standard in IDP for the number of players to use in a starting lineup or an official IDP scoring system.

Any IDP rankings list should include a preferred scoring system as a point of reference. Click the link to jump to the section that details my ideal IDP league setup and scoring.

IDP Advice & Tips

What is the Best IDP Scoring System Setup?

The best IDP scoring systems give at least 1+ point per tackle and assist. They are the most consistent defensive stats.

Big-play scoring (interceptions, sacks, fumbles) lacks predictability and you want players delivering reliable tackles with a smattering of extracurricular activity in the box scores. Interceptions and sacks (excluding top-tier pass rushers) will vary wildly game-to-game and from season to season.

How Many IDP Starters Should My League Use?

If your league only has six or fewer IDP starters, you may want to expand the lineup. It’s best to have a near-equal amount of offensive and defensive starters.

This allows each position to carry meaningful weight and discourages managers from punting or fading a position. A balanced roster is the best roster.

How Do I Decide Who to Start in IDP Leagues?

Follow the points. Do not play the matchups in IDP unless you are supremely confident in your ability to make calls.

Don’t overthink it. Unless there is a glaring weakness - such as an offensive line dealing with injuries that are allowing the most sacks in the NFL - you’re better off sticking with the guy who’s putting points the most points on the board.
