Aaron Gordon Traded To Denver Nuggets

The Magic, currently the No. 14 seed in the Eastern Conference, seem to be sellers at today’s NBA trade deadline, already moving All-Star center Nikola Vucevic and Evan Fournier, Gordon is the last piece of the fire sale. Overall, they were able to add three first-round picks, two second-round picks, along with Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter, Harris and Hampton. Not a bad haul.

The Celtics, on the other hand, are gaining a solid roleplayer who is averaging almost 20 points per game this season.

Aaron Gordon Trade: Fantasy Basketball Outlook

Gordon is averaging just under 15 points and seven rebounds per night. He joins a talented Nuggets team headlined by Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. Despite this, Gordon will likely start over Will Barton or Michael Porter Jr., making this move to Denver an intriguing one. Perhaps a better supporting cast could be a welcome outcome for Gordon.

Meanwhile, Hampton and Harris will have an opportunity to join a younger team that is not very good. Perhaps Harris will see a workload increase for this season, while Hampton could be a bit of a longer hold.

Denver Nuggets & Orlando Magic: NBA Betting Outlook

The Denver Nuggets are currently the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference and are likely looking to spike higher since the No. 4 seeded Lakers are now floundering without LeBron James (ankle) and Anthony Davis (hamstring).

Currently, PointsBet gives Denver +2000 odds to win the NBA Championship. Adding Gordon and, earlier Thursday, JaVale McGee should boost confidence for Nuggets bettors in what appears to be a wide-open Western Conference.

The Orlando Magic seem to be sellers at the deadline, moving many key pieces and looking towards building for the future. Avoid Orlando bets, unless it’s for the NBA lottery.
