Kelenic is considered one of the best prospects in baseball, ranking fourth on MLB.com’s Top 100 prospects list coming into this season. This is a 21-year old, well-rounded hitter with a plus hit tool mixed with power and speed. Kelenic has a sweet swing with the ability to barrel the baseball. He can make an immediate impact for the Mariners with the upside to provide 20 home runs and double-digit stolen bases.
The risk with Kelenic is that the Mariners will likely keep him off the big-league roster for at least the first couple weeks to delay his service time, but this makes him a value at +650. He should still see 400-500 plate appearances, so playing time shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Kelenic could be the most talented prospect to play in the majors this year, making him worth the investment at these odds.

The Mariners are in rebuilding mode, but it’s so tough to bet under this number, especially considering that this team finished third in the NL West in 2020. This is a team that features potential veteran bounce-backs and breakout candidates.
On offense, the Mariners get Mitch Haniger back. Let’s remember that back in 2018, he slashed .285/.366/.493 with 26 homers in 683 plate appearances. Haniger looks good in Spring Training and would help out a lineup that includes Kelenic along with 2020 breakouts Kyle Lewis and Dylan Moore, mixed with veterans like Kyle Seager.
The rotation features innings-eater Marco Gonzales, who boasts excellent command, posting a 2.5 BB% in 69.2 innings last year. They also have Yusei Kikuchi, who looks poised to breakout following a season where his velocity increased from 92.5 MPH to 95 MPH. His swinging-strike rate improved from 8.8 percent to 12.1 percent. He also looks good this spring. Justus Sheffield showed his potential last season and they brought back James Paxton, who also has upside. Let’s also not forget about Logan Gilbert, who is ranked as the 33rd best prospect in MLB.
The Mariners added reliever Rafael Montero as their new closer to help shore up a bullpen that put up a 5.03 ERA last season. The bullpen will likely range from mediocre to average this season. This is another team that you should take advantage of the low win total.
