2021 Giants Win Total Bet: How Many Games Will San Francisco Win?

2021 Giants Win Total

Over/Under 75.5 wins (BetMGM)

The San Francisco Giants are not truly in the mix for a divisional race in 2021, but they are certainly trending in the right direction. After the franchise hired Farhan Zaidi as their head man, the Giants put their rebuild into full effect and they actually are on the right track for the first time since their three titles in a six-year span began just a little over a decade ago.

A lot of the Giants’ core is aging. Buster Posey is a subpar hitter these days and Brandon Belt is losing his luster. Mike Yasztremski has come out of seemingly nowhere to make noise in San Francisco. There’s some hope in the form of catcher Joey Bart and a variety of top-tier prospects on the way like Marco Luciano and Luis Matos.

However, that is looking to the future. We are looking at the present and for now, the Giants will feed at the bottom of the National League West. There are simply not enough bright spots on the team to outweigh the negative areas.

The Giants made moves to bring in left-hander starter Alex Wood who has been terrific when healthy and also brought in revitalized reliever Jake McGee into the fold. These moves are not enough to truly compete obviously, but you have to respect the Giants for at least trying to put together a serviceable roster in the midst of an obviously rebuilding phase.

2021 Giants Win Total Bet

Under 75.5 wins (-110)

Admittedly, this is a total that I believe can go either way.

I tend to lean hereunder because I think there will be some late-season tanking and trade deadline moves made by the franchise, but I also would not be surprised if the Giants eked out somewhere in the 76 to 78 wins range.

This is not a clear-cut decision here and I am not taking a definitive stance here, but I would absolutely lean the under on this one.
