The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-13) will hit the road in Week 17 to take on the New England Patriots (9-6) in Foxboro. With the Patriots suffering back-to-back losses, they will look to come out strong against a lowly Jacksonville squad that has not won a game since Week 9.
The Jaguars are arguably the worst team in the league and have been the NFL’s punching bag the past six weeks. The team is in a total rebuild this year behind quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and they are actively trying to lose football games to get a better draft pick.
This game should go the Patriots’ way. While the Pats have not looked like themselves the past few weeks, they have a favorable schedule to end the regular season. The momentum should start here against the Jags.

Jaguars vs Patriots Prediction
One of these teams is fighting for seeding in the AFC playoff picture while the other is tanking. I see this as a game that is best not to overthink. While the Patriots have had better days than they have had recently, they are still a strong enough team to withstand a team as lowly as the Jaguars.
I’m expecting a blowout here in Foxboro, and for the Patriots to regain momentum as the season comes to a close. With the Bills having the AFC East lead firmly in their grasp, the Patriots must win out to even have a shot at catching them.

That’s a lot of points. Too many. The Jaguars are awful, obviously, but the Patriots don’t have the offensive firepower to cover by three scores in my opinion.
I don’t enjoy backing bad teams, but this is an exception. With the Patriots not up to speed recently, I see this as a solid spot to back a Jags team that can be themselves and let New England make their own mistakes behind Mac Jones.

I don’t see this being a high-scoring affair by any means. The Jaguars have a lackluster defense and offense, while the Patriots boast the best defense in the NFL. Weather could also play a serious role in Foxboro and I think it is best to hop on this one early.
