SNF Week 14 Prop Bets | Bears vs Packers Props for Total Points, First Scoring Play & More

Last Updated: Dec 12, 2021

The NFC North-leading Green Bay Packers (9-3) take on the struggling Chicago Bears (4-8) this Sunday night in a pivotal clash.

Green Bay is fresh off a bye week following a 36-28 victory over the L.A. Rams in Week 12, and looks to be as healthy as can be this time of year. Aaron Rodgers is looking to continue his MVP-caliber season against a team that he has torched throughout his career.

Rodgers is 22-5 against the Bears for his career and has thrown 32 touchdowns to just four interceptions in 13 career home starts against them.

On the Bears’ side, they’ll be getting rookie quarterback Justin Fields back. He’s been banged up the last couple of weeks, but he’ll look to get his first win against Green Bay on the road.

Chicago also has a lot of rumors swirling about the status of head coach Matt Nagy, but those will likely be dealt with after the season.

Let’s dive in to find the best Bears vs Packers prop bets for this weekend’s NFC North clash.

Bears vs Packers Prop Bets: NFL Week 14 Prop Betting Picks

Chicago Bears Total Points: Under 14.5 points (-115) at Caesars

Normally I would do the Over here, but with how Green Bay shut Chicago down in the Windy City a few weeks ago, I like that to repeat itself. This one will be played in Green Bay, plus Chicago has struggled mightily on offense this season.

The Bears have the third-worst scoring offense in the league as they’ve averaged just 16.8 points per game this season. It’s a gigantic reason why they’re only 4-8 coming into this matchup.

The Packers also have the fifth-best scoring defense in the league, allowed an average of just 20.2 points per game.

I like the Under for our NFL bet of the day and think Green Bay will be able to shut Fields & Co. down on Sunday night.

First Scoring Play: Green Bay Field Goal (+325) at Caesars

The Packers will be fired up for this one right out of the gate and will score first blood. Aaron Rodgers has had an extra week to get his fractured toe a bit better, which means he could be more mobile outside the pocket.

That said, Green Bay has struggled to find the end zone to open the scoring this season. In fact, Green Bay doesn’t have a touchdown to open the scoring in 10 of its 12 games this year.

Now, I still have the Packers winning (see my next prop bet), but they’re usually a team that locks in as the game goes on.

Packers to Win by 7-12 Points (+360) at Caesars

Make no mistake, this is a game that the Packers need to win. They’re trying to get home field for the NFC playoffs and they’re going up against a team that isn’t nearly as good.

They also have dominated the Bears during Aaron Rodgers’ tenure and have a defense that can shut down Nagy’s offense.

Look for Davante Adams and Aaron Jones to make some big plays on offense and for the Packers defense to make a splash play or two in order to win this game by more than a touchdown.
