Cowboys vs Washington Predictions Week 14 | NFL Pick of the Day

Last Updated: Dec 10, 2021

The Dallas Cowboys (8-4) will head to FedEx Field to take on the Washington Football Team (6-6) in this Week 14 NFC East clash.

Since the start of the season, Dallas has not looked like themselves. Frankly, they look vulnerable. They have traded wins and losses for most of the past eight weeks and are coming off a 27-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints.

The Cowboys need to get back on track if they want to not only win the division, but make noise in the playoffs.

Washington, on the other hand, is a team in a tight race for a playoff spot. They have played some impressive games lately, winning four in a row. These wins include a 10-point victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as tight wins against the Panthers, Seahawks, and Raiders.

While their defense was overrated coming into the season, they have surely shown up to play of late, catapulting Washington into the playoff hunt.

This game carries tons of playoff implications and the winner could quite possibly wind up as the NFC East division winner.

Coming into this week, Daniel Preciado has maintained a 14-7 NFL betting record this season, good for a 67% win rate and +9.6 units. He is also coming off of a 2-0 week after accurately predicting a Washington Football Team victory at plus-odds against the Raiders.

Please note that all NFL gameday odds are current as of 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday, December 10.

Cowboys vs Washington Prediction

While neither of these teams are impressive in a traditional sense, especially compared to the top dogs of the NFL, this game will be a hard-fought battle. Washington carries all the momentum into this one and the Cowboys are still looking to get some consistency on both sides of the ball.

This being a home game for the Football Team could wind up playing a key role as well. They have looked visibly better in D.C. this season, especially lately.

All in all, I’m expecting this game to be tight and low-scoring. Let’s look at my final score prediction for Cowboys vs. Football Team in Week 14.

Prediction: Cowboys 21, Washington 20

Cowboys vs Washington Best Bets

Best Bet: Washington +4.5 (-110) at Caesars

Wager: 1.5 Units

Once again, I’m taking Washington against the spread. I like betting on momentum and this team has all of it.

The Cowboys have not truly put it together since the first five weeks of the season and Washington is getting hot at the right time. The front seven for the Football Team will wreak havoc and limit Dak Prescott‘s output in this one.

Back the hot hand on a weird spread of 4.5 for 1.5 units. Take Washington all the way down to +3.5.

Best Bet: Under 48 Total Points (-110) at Caesars

Wager: 1 Unit

I don’t expect a ton of scoring in this one. Washington has not had a total in their games go Over 48 points since Week 5. As I have mentioned multiple times, their defense has looked excellent and I expect that to continue into this matchup.

Dallas’s offense is very hit and miss as it is, so even if they muster together three touchdowns, I think this game still stay Under with Washington’s offensive limitations playing a role.

Back the Under in this game. I expect it to hit by approximately a touchdown and would bet it down to 46.5.
