Eagles vs Jets Predictions Week 13 | NFL Pick of the Day

The Philadelphia Eagles crashed back to Earth with a disappointing 13-7 defeat to the New York Giants last week, falling to 5-7 on the season. Philly had won three of four before the loss, however, so they’ll look to bounce back against the 3-8 New York Jets.

The Jets squeaked out a 21-14 road win against the equally bad Houston Texans last week, but they’ve yet to win consecutive games this year. Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson struggled in his return from injury and has not thrown a touchdown pass since October 3.

Will the Eagles be able to get back on track against the Jets? Or will they be upset again by another team from New York?

Let’s dive into our Eagles vs Jets predictions to see why Philadelphia has the edge in this critical matchup.

Please note that all NFL Week 13 odds and lines are current as of 10 AM ET on Friday, December 3.

Eagles vs Jets Prediction

After managing just seven points against the Giants last weekend, this is the perfect get-right spot for the Eagles’ offense. The Jets have perhaps the worst defense in the NFL and are allowing a league-high 30.4 points per game.

Philadelphia has averaged 212 rushing yards per game over their last five as they’ve transitioned to a run-first offense. They should be able to run all over New York’s defense, which is allowing 112 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs.

It’s going to be difficult for the Jets to slow down Philly’s potent rushing attack led by Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders, and Boston Scott. There’s also the issue of Wilson, who continues to play poorly. It’s hard to envision a scenario where the Jets keep up on offense and slow down the Eagles’ running game.

The Eagles badly need a win here in order to remain in the playoff hunt. I expect them to come out with a better effort than what they showed last week, especially with Hurts trying to put his worst game of the season behind him.

Meanwhile, expect another strong effort from Philly’s defense, which has allowed 13 points or less in three of its last five games. New York’s offense has looked lost for much of the season under Wilson and is averaging just 18.1 points per game — sixth-fewest in the NFL.

Look for the Eagles to get it done against an inferior team on the road.

Prediction: Eagles 30, Jets 16

Eagles vs Jets Best Bets

Best Bet: Eagles -7 (-110) at Caesars

Wager: 2 Units

While this spread may seem like a lot for a road team on our NFL gameday odds, the Eagles are more than capable of beating the Jets by a touchdown. Four of their five wins this season have been by double digits, three of which came on the road.

As for New York, they’ve gotten outscored by an average of 12.3 points per game this year (wins included), so they’re an easy team to blow out.

Look for Philly to grab another double-digit win and cover the spread easily.

Best Bet: Over 45 Total Points (-110) at Caesars

Wager: 2 Units

I like the Over for our NFL bet of the day because of how terrible New York’s defense is. Philadelphia’s offense was on fire before laying an egg against the Giants, racking up 138 points in the four games prior.

I think the Eagles’ offense bounces back in a major way here and could very well score 30+ points. The Jets should also be able to put up some points against Philadelphia’s middle-of-the-pack defense, making the Over an appealing option.
