NBA Bets of the Day 11/30/21
Memphis Grizzlies @ Toronto Raptors, 7:30 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Memphis Grizzlies +3.5 (-110) at Caesars
The Grizzlies are dealing with an injury to star guard Ja Morant at the moment as they head to Toronto to play Fred VanVleet and the Raptors. Last time these two squared off, the Raptors won in Memphis by 13 points.
I expect things to be different this time. The Raptors have lost nine of their last 12 games and are playing a Grizzlies team that may have found the right rotation without Morant as they are coming off a 128-101 win.
Memphis averages the sixth-most points per game while Toronto is 20th in scoring. Memphis isn’t the best defensively as they are ranked 28th, but neither is Toronto with their 26th ranking.
Toronto could very well end up winning this game, but I do like the combination of Dillon Brooks, Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. to lead Memphis to a cover here in a very close game on the road.

Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns, 10:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Total Points Over 222.5 (-110) at Caesars
This is one of the best matchups we have seen all year and it’s way too close to call it on either side. So, why not just root for them both? With Golden State having the second-best offense in the league and Phoenix ranked fourth in points per game, it makes sense to take the Over on the total score for this game.
You have players like Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole on the 18-2 Warriors side of things that all average over 18 points per game. Whereas the 17-3 Suns actually have a more balanced scoring output with six players averaging double figures for the season.
Phoenix hasn’t lost since before Halloween, when it took a buzzer-beater to knock them off. I don’t expect either of these teams to go away quietly. There’s a very good chance that we see multiple overtimes in this one. Regardless, I like the Over and that’s where I advise you go.

Detroit Pistons @ Portland Trail Blazers, 10:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Detroit Pistons +9.5 (-110) at Caesars
The 10-11 Trail Blazers host the 4-16 Pistons. While this may seem like an easy choice for some, 9.5 points is a lot to spot a team that is below .500. The Pistons have been playing competitive basketball as of late. They almost knocked off the Lakers on the road in their last game.
Rookie Cade Cunningham and their best player Jerami Grant have really settled down and started to lead this team. Saddiq Bey is playing good basketball as well as Trey Lyles. All the Pistons have to do is finish within nine points of the lead for you to win this bet. They have done that against teams like the Lakers twice, the Heat and the Warriors.
Can the Pistons win? Sure, although they don’t have to, to win the bet. I like the Pistons covering this relatively larger spread on the back of Grant and Cunningham. The worry, of course, is the Blazers having Damian Lillard give them a lights-out performance from the field, which is never to be ruled out.
However, I’m going to stick with the Pistons and feel confident they can keep this game close.
