NBA Bets of the Day 11/01/21
San Antonio Spurs @ Indiana Pacers, 7:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Spurs +2.5 (-110) at Caesars
Both of these teams have gotten off to slow starts, as the San Antonio Spurs are 2-4 while the Indiana Pacers are 1-6 after losing four in a row.
While this looks like a contest between two evenly matched teams on the surface, I believe the Spurs are superior. Dejounte Murray is off to a career-best start to the season, while Derrick White, Keldon Johnson, and Jakob Poeltl are all making key contributions as well.
The Pacers are a bit light behind Damontas Sabonis, especially if point guard Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) is unable to suit up tonight. Even if he does play, I’m backing San Antonio as road underdogs here.
The Spurs are 4-2 against the spread on the season, including 3-0 on the road. On the flip side, the Pacers are 1-2 against the spread at home.
Besides taking San Antonio +2.5 against Indiana, I’d also consider placing a bet on the Spurs’ moneyline with +130 odds at Caesars.
Chicago Bulls @ Boston Celtics, 7:30 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Bulls Moneyline (+110) at Caesars
Is it time to call the Chicago Bulls a contender in the Eastern Conference yet? The additions of Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, and Alex Caruso have worked wonders for the Bulls in their first six games, producing an impressive 5-1 record thus far.
Chicago will look to continue its hot start against the scuffling Boston Celtics, who are just 2-4 under new head coach Ime Udoka. Their defense is allowing an NBA-worst 118.3 points per game, nearly 20 more than the Bulls (98.8).
While it’s still early in the season, Boston is 0-2 at home this year while Chicago is 2-0 on the road. Instead of playing the spread of +2 for the Bulls at -110, I’ll take plus-odds on the moneyline for my NBA bet of the day.
Toronto Raptors @ New York Knicks, 7:30 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Over 208.5 Points (-110) at Caesars
This game has the lowest Total on tonight’s slate according to our NBA gameday odds, but I think it should be considerably higher.
The New York Knicks have been one of the best offensive teams in the NBA thus far, ranking second with 117 points per game. Their defense hasn’t been playing up to Tom Thibodeau‘s standards, however, surrendering just under 110 points per game.
As a result, the Knicks have been involved in several high-scoring affairs already, reaching this Total in five of their first six games. With the Raptors averaging 103.7 points per game, I think both teams will score enough to hit the Over.
