One of the more underwhelming games of Week 8 figures to be when the New York Jets host the Cincinnati Bengals. They are two teams that are certainly heading in opposite directions, with the Bengals being 5-2 and the Jets having a 1-5 record.
Let’s try to spice this game up on the wagering side of things by discussing which sides of the money line, spread, and total to consider.

Bengals vs. Jets Prediction
It doesn’t get much more impressive than the Bengals’ victory over the Ravens last week. Not only did they pull off the win on the road, but they did so in a deciding fashion, winning 41-17.
Joe Burrow was at the top of his game, throwing for 416 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. Ja’Marr Chase exploded for 201 yards and a touchdown, while the duo of Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine racked up 111 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
The Jets were also part of a lopsided score in Week 7, getting hammered by the Patriots, 54-13. Mac Jones threw for a career-high 307 yards in the contest while also totaling two touchdown passes. Damien Harris dominated on the ground, turning 14 carries into 106 yards and two touchdowns.
Another negative for the Jets in that game was that they lost quarterback Zach Wilson to a knee injury. They quickly made a move to trade for Joe Flacco, leaving him and Mike White to fight for the starting job.
Simply put, this game is a mismatch of epic proportions.
Prediction: Bengals 30, Jets 13
Bengals vs. Jets Best Bets
Best Bet: Bengals Moneyline (-550) at Caesars
Wager: 2 Units
The odds aren’t great on the moneyline here, and they shouldn’t be with how uneven this matchup is. The Jets’ lone win this season came in an upset over the Titans. Outside of that, three of their five losses have come by at least 19 points.
The only real concern here is that the Bengals have a letdown performance after such a big win over the Ravens. After beating the Steelers in Week 3, they had to squeak out a three-point win the following week over the Jaguars. Still, expect them to ultimately come away with the victory.
Best Bet: Bengals -10.5 (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
The Jets suffering so many lopsided losses works in the Bengals’ favor for covering. Also, the Bengals have won both of their last two games by at least 24 points.
Again, the only possible hiccup here is a letdown emotionally from the Bengals after last week. With that being said, at least the Jaguars have some weapons on offense, which helped them make their matchup close against the Bengals.
With the Jets set to roll out Mike White at quarterback and very little talent at running back, their offense could struggle mightily.
Best Bet: Under 43 Total Points (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
The Jets have only averaged 13.3 points per game, which is the lowest in the NFL.
White starting under center in place of the injured Zach Wilson likely won’t help matters, given that he threw two interceptions in relief of Wilson last week.
As if scoring won’t be hard enough for the Jets, the Bengals have allowed just 18.3 points per game, which is the fifth-fewest in the NFL. The Jets’ defense hadn’t been a disaster before Week 7 either, allowing 27 points or fewer in each of their previous five games.
Don’t expect them to get torched for over 50 points again.
