This 2021 NLCS has gone in a direction that most people did not expect, as the Atlanta Braves now hold a 3-1 series lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Braves have thoroughly outplayed the Dodgers, which is surprising given that Los Angeles won 18 more games during the regular season.
Atlanta holds the momentum and will look to clinch the pennant in Game 5 with their ace Max Fried on the bump. Meanwhile, Los Angeles will have an all-hands-on-deck approach as they fight to stave off elimination.

Atlanta Braves Moneyline (+120) at DraftKings
After backing the Dodgers for a majority of this series, I’m taking the Braves tonight and expect them to polish off Los Angeles and clinch their first World Series appearance since 1999.
Atlanta knocked the wind out of LA’s sails with a 9-2 win in Game 4 to take control of the series. With the Dodgers resorting to a bullpen game for Game 5, I’m surprised the Braves aren’t favored on our MLB gameday odds.

Under 8.5 Total Runs (-110) at DraftKings
After hitting the Over in Game 4, I think these two teams will hit the Under in Game 5. I’m expecting an excellent start from Fried and think LA’s bullpen can limit the damage as they did in Game 1, when they allowed just three runs.
The Dodgers’ bullpen has been the unsung hero of the playoffs for them so far. Their offense has been extremely disappointing and is a big reason why I’m backing the Under tonight.
NLCS Game 5 Parlay Best Bet (+280) at DraftKings
At (+280) odds, this MLB bet of the day has terrific value. We get the Braves at plus money even though they’ve been the far better team in this series, and we’re also taking the Under in a game that should be relatively low-scoring.
