MLB Props of the Day: Best Baseball Props Today 10/19/21
Walker Buehler: Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-150) at BetMGM
Atlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers, 5:08 ET
Walker Buehler has five strikeouts or fewer in eight of his last nine starts. The Dodgers are in a must-win situation down 0-2 in this series, so we can expect manager Dave Roberts to have a quick hook with Buehler.
It’s important to play the trends here. Racking up six or more strikeouts is a tough task for pitchers in the postseason. Buehler would need to go six innings for this to hit, and I don’t think that’s in the cards tonight, given the situation.
Roll with the Under in this spot.

Dansby Swanson: Over 0.5 Total Bases (-135) at BetMGM
Atlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers, 5:08 ET
Dansby Swanson hit 27 homers and 33 doubles, demonstrating that there’s pop in this bat. While he only hit .248 on the season, we only need one total base for this prop to hit, which is a low bar at a reasonable price.
Swanson has totaled at least one total base in three of his last four and four of his last six games. He put up a modest 8 percent walk rate this season, so he tends to put the ball in play. Swanson looks like a strong bet to get a hit in this game.

Kiké Hernandez: Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105) at BetMGM
Houston Astros at Boston Red Sox, 8:08 ET
Sometimes you just need to roll with the hot hitter, and this is one of those times. Kiké Hernandez is scorching hot right now, racking up two or more hits in five of his last six games. During that span, he’s hit four doubles and five homers.
Hernandez goes up against Zack Greinke, who has only pitched one inning this postseason. In Greinke’s last five outings, he’s gone a combined 16 and 1/3 innings. He’ll need to go deeper in this one, which could be tough.
Hernandez should have plenty of plate appearances to have a chance to hit this prop with how hot the Red Sox bats are.
Kyle Tucker: Over 1.5 Total Bases (+135) at BetMGM
Houston Astros at Boston Red Sox, 8:08 ET
Kyle Tucker is really heating up as of late, hitting two doubles and four home runs in his last nine games, including a homer in last night’s loss. He’s slashing .299/.375/.545 with 17 home runs and 26 doubles against righties this season.
Tucker will go up against Nick Pivetta, who allowed 137 hits in 155 innings this season. Pivetta has pitched well this postseason, but this isn’t a matchup to fear, especially with Tucker hitting so well lately.
Take the value on the Over.
