Panthers vs Giants Predictions Week 7 | NFL Pick of the Day

After getting off to a promising 3-0 start, the Carolina Panthers have dropped three games in a row. They take on a New York Giants team that just got blown out at home against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Giants are banged up right now, playing without star running back Saquon Barkley and promising rookie wideout Kadarius Toney. They’re looking to bounce back from consecutive losses after an impressive road win in New Orleans.

This game has huge playoff implications for the Panthers, as they need to stop this losing streak against one of the worst teams in the NFL in the Giants.

Please note that all odds are current as of 1 PM EST on Friday, October 22.

Panthers vs. Giants Prediction

Carolina’s offense has sputtered lately, as Sam Darnold has fallen on hard times, completing a combined 38-of-78 (48.7 percent) of his passes for 4.92 yards per attempt. Perhaps he can get back on track against a Giants defense that just got shredded by Matthew Stafford for 251 yards (9.0 Y/A) and four touchdowns.

The Panthers’ defense has been solid, limiting opponents to fewer than 20 points in four of six games this season. They have limited opposing quarterbacks to only 6.68 yards per attempt.

Carolina should be able to slow down a struggling Giants offense that has scored 20 points or fewer in three of their last four games.

While the Giants should be able to get wideout Darius Slayton back for this one, Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, and Saquon Barkley will each be out. There are just not enough playmakers on this offense as it stands right now with Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram, and Devontae Booker.

This is an ideal bounce-back spot for the Panthers. They could have easily won each of their last two games, as they blew a 10-point lead against the Eagles and lost in overtime to the Vikings. The Giants defense has allowed 82 points in their last two games.

Look for Carolina to get back on track in this one.

Prediction: Panthers 27, Giants 20

Panthers vs. Giants Best Bets

Best Bet: Panthers -3 (+100) at Caesars

Wager: 2 Units

I like that we’re getting this spread at three points with our NFL gameday odds because Carolina only needs to win by a field goal for this bet to cash.

The Panthers have a good chance to end this losing streak against one of the worst teams in football. The Giants are a mess right now and should struggle to move the ball against this improving Panthers defense.

The Giants need Kadarius Toney to beat the odds and suit up for this game because as it stands right now, their offense really lacks that big-play ability.

Best Bet: Over 43 Total Points (-110) at Caesars

Wager: 2 Units

Starting with Week 1, Panthers games have combined for 33, 33, 33, 64, 39, and 62 points, while Giants games have gone for 40, 59, 31, 48, 64, and 49 points. New York’s defense is struggling mightily right now, making it tough to feel comfortable going against the Over with such a low total.

The total of 43 points is a low bar to clear, as quarterbacks Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones can be turnover-prone at times, which could result in shorter fields and more potential scoring opportunities. Lock in the Over in this spot.

Frank Ammirante’s 2021 NFL Betting Record: 12-5, +11.47 Units
