MLB World Series MVP Odds

MLB World Series MVP futures can be tricky to predict, as superstars do not always win the award. For every David Ortiz and Corey Seager that dominates the Fall Classic, there’s an Edgar Renteria or Steve Pearce that leads his team to glory.

There are a lot of superstars in this World Series, however, several of whom are red-hot at the plate. There’s always a chance that a pitcher will win the award too, as we’ve seen with Stephen Strasburg and Madison Bumgarner in recent years.

With that in mind, here are the current World Series MVP odds, courtesy of BetMGM:

  • Jose Altuve (+900)
  • Michael Brantley (+1000)
  • Yordan Alvarez (+1000)
  • Alex Bregman (+1100)
  • Freddie Freeman (+1100)
  • Carlos Correa (+1200)
  • Kyle Tucker (+1400)
  • Eddie Rosario (+1400)
  • Max Fried (+1600)
  • Austin Riley (+1600)

Of the 10 players listed above, only one is a pitcher and six of the top seven play for Houston. Based on these odds, it’s obvious that BetMGM oddsmakers expect the Astros to win the series.

There are many enticing options to consider with so much star power on both sides, so let’s get into some of the best World Series MVP bets currently on the board.

MLB World Series MVP Best Bets

Astros OF/DH Yordan Alvarez (+1000) at BetMGM

[pick id= “43748"]

Alvarez has been one of the best hitters in baseball since debuting in 2019, posting a .290/.371/.577 batting line over his first three seasons. He’s also been a monster in the postseason with a .431/.531/.725 slash line over his last 17 playoff games.

Alvarez is coming into this series on fire after winning ALCS MVP honors in the previous round. The 24-year-old hit safely in all six games against the Boston Red Sox and was nearly impossible to get out during the second half of the series, going 9-for-13 with five extra-base hits and five RBIs over the final three games.

If Houston wins the World Series this year, its young superstar will likely be a big reason why.

Braves OF Eddie Rosario (+1400) at BetMGM

[pick id= “43757"]

Similar to Alvarez, Rosario is coming off a smoking hot LCS in which he won NLCS MVP honors for his dominant performance. Rosario racked up 14 hits and nine RBIs in Atlanta’s six-game triumph over the Los Angeles Dodgers, tying the MLB record for most hits in a postseason series.

Rosario is the hottest hitter on the planet right now. If he can keep it up during the World Series, he might propel the Braves to a championship.

MLB World Series MVP Predictions 2021

Astros SS Carlos Correa (+1200) at BetMGM

[pick id= “43762"]

Correa was arguably the Astros’ MVP during the regular season and always seems to step up when his team needs him the most. He’s been outstanding throughout his postseason career, smashing 18 home runs with 55 RBIs and an .868 OPS in 73 career playoff games.

Houston’s slugging shortstop is in the midst of another tremendous postseason, batting .297/.395/.459 through 10 games thus far. Don’t be surprised if he saves his best for last and cashes our MLB bet of the day.
