The third Monday Night Football game of the year is an NFC East battle between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. Both teams sit at 1-1, looking for the sole lead of the division after three weeks.
This is a matchup that has produced some fantastic primetime games over the year and this one shouldn’t be any different.
To prepare you for this contest, here are our favorite bets and picks for this Week 3 contest on Monday Night Football.
Monday Night Football Prediction Week 3
The Eagles are expected to be without pass rusher Brandon Graham (ankle) and G Brandon Brooks (chest) scheduled to miss this game.
Dallas has plenty of absences to deal with: WR Michael Gallup (calf), DE DeMarcus Lawrence (foot), and the suspended (but appealing) OL La’el Collins. Top WR Amari Cooper also is dealing with a rib injury and is uncertain as of Monday.
That likely means we will see a shootout at AT&T Stadium as both offenses can be difficult to stop when they are clicking. The Eagles are coming off a tough loss to the 49ers, but they certainly held their own in Week 2.
Through two games, they appear to be a legit contender in the NFC East and not a team that is likely to finish at the bottom of the division.

More importantly, Jalen Hurts has yet to throw an interception and is averaging 7.8 yards per attempt. While he hasn’t proven to be an elite quarterback yet, he is starting to show the signs of a franchise quarterback in Philadelphia.
Against one of the worst defenses in the NFL, Hurts and the Eagles should be able to keep this game close.
The Cowboys got a much-needed win in Week 2, holding the Chargers to just 17 points. But Dallas has several big injuries on both sides of the ball and they are starting to mount up.

On the other hand, the play of Dak Prescott and the rest of this offense is going to keep this team competitive every single week against any team in the NFL.
As is usually the case, look for this to be a highly competitive contest that goes down to the last possession of the game. The turnover differential will likely tell the story, but Dallas has the best quarterback and that’s what usually matters in this game.
Look for Dallas to win, but for Philadelphia to keep this game close and likely cover the spread.
Week 3 MNF Pick: Cowboys 27-24
Monday Night Football Best Bets
MNF Best Bet: Eagles +4 (-110) at BetMGM
Division matchups tend to be a bit random, especially when both teams are of similar caliber. That’s why it’s tough to ignore the Eagles getting four points in this NFC East showdown.
The Eagles haven’t had a ton of success against the Cowboys as of late, but their offensive and defensive line should keep them in this game.
It’s worth noting that the Cowboys have covered just once in their last six meetings against divisional opponents. Considering that most of these games are decided by a field goal (or sometimes less), take the Eagles here as they should be able to have a ton of success on offense against Dallas.
Look for the Cowboys to win, but for the Eagles to cover.
MNF Best Bet: Over 51.5 (-110) at Caesars
One of the most surprising units in the NFL this season has been the defense for the Philadelphia Eagles. Through two games, they have allowed just 23 points.
Against one of the best offenses in the league, the Eagles allowed just 4.5 yards per play and 306 yards to the 49ers in Week 2.
However, they will be tested in Week 3 as they will play the Dallas Cowboys. In their last meeting in 2020, the Cowboys scored 37 points and that was with Andy Dalton under center.
This should be a high-scoring game as neither defense is very strong in the secondary. And with both teams having major injuries across the defensive lines, look for the Over to hit in Dallas on Monday Night Football.
