The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pick Kyle Trask No. 64 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft on Friday night.
Buccaneers Pick Kyle Trask No. 64 Overall In 2021 NFL Draft
The Buccaneers are taking their first shot in drafting their quarterback of the future, selecting Florida QB Kyle Trask 64th overall with second-round draft capital. While Tom Brady is under contract until 2023, you never know when he may decide to hang up the cleats. Barring regression, I doubt it will be anytime soon, though.
Unless Brady suffers an injury this season, Trask will be holding the clipboard and learning behind the proverbial GOAT until it is his time. A big-armed pocket passer who can carve up a defense like a surgeon in the operating room, Trask is a near-perfect protege to Brady.
Kyle Trask 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook
Barring an injury to Brady, Kyle Trask won’t see the field for Tampa Bay in 2021 unless it is in mop-up duty or garbage time during a blowout. Trask may also be asked to kneel as well.
Kyle Trask Dynasty Fantasy Football Outlook
I would not spend a high pick on Trask in rookie drafts. However, that doesn’t mean that he is undraftable. Sure, his situation behind Brady isn’t a great one with all the uncertainties surrounding his future, but if you can afford to make a pick solely for the future, Trask does bring some ceiling, especially with all the weapons in Tampa Bay.
