The Chicago Bears pick Justin Fields No. 11 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft on Thursday night.

Bears Pick No. 11 Overall In 2021 NFL Draft

The Bears traded up from No. 20 to No. 11, giving up this year’s first-rounder and fifth-rounder as well as a first, fourth, and fifth in 2022 to select Justin Fields. This was a terrific move that should change the direction of this franchise moving forward.

Fields came into the year as the consensus No. 2 quarterback. He had another season of strong production, but inexplicably fell to QB4, behind Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, and Trey Lance. Fields has the upside to develop into the best quarterback in this class.

Fields is a dual-threat quarterback with a strong arm and plus athleticism. He has the ability to throw with touch and accuracy downfield. Fields immediately becomes the best quarterback of Allen Robinson’s career. He has the chance to become the best quarterback in Bears history.

Justin Fields 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook

I expect Fields to beat out veteran quarterback Andy Dalton as the starter. Fields’ dual-threat ability makes him intriguing for season-long leagues. He’ll get to throw to Robinson as well as emerging young players like Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet.

This makes him worth a look as a late-round fantasy football draft target, even in single-season leagues. Fields had no business falling as far as he did. I’d have no issue taking him ahead of a fellow rookie like Zach Wilson or a third-year player like Drew Lock.

Justin Fields Dynasty Fantasy Football Outlook

Fields can become the best quarterback in this class, making him a premium target in dynasty leagues. I’d take him behind Lawrence (superior prospect) and Lance (superior supporting cast), but this is still a player you should be heavily targeting in dynasty.

This selection could persuade Robinson to stay in Chicago. He’ll potentially have the best quarterback of his career. Mooney also has upside as a deep threat, so Fields has a solid supporting cast with the Bears. He looks like a top-12 asset at quarterback in dynasty leagues.

Chicago Bears To Make 2021 NFL Playoffs?

  • Yes (+225)
  • No (-275)

The Bears have an exciting young quarterback to go along with a stout defense, so they have the makings of a playoff contender. I like the value here of Yes.

Bears To Win NFC North Division Title

Bears To Win NFC North (+650)

The Packers remain the heavy favorites in this division, but the Bears are worth a look as a value pick with the selection of Fields. They’re definitely worth a sprinkle.

Bears To Win Super Bowl 56

Bears To Win Super Bowl 56 (+5000)

The Bears aren’t ready for primetime yet, but they’re absolutely headed in the right direction with Fields.
