The New York Giants pick Kadarius Toney No. 20 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft on Thursday night.

Giants Pick Kadarius Toney No. 20 Overall In 2021 NFL Draft

After the Eagles traded up and sniped DeVonta Smith, Giants GM David Gettleman opted to trade down and take Kadarius Toney. This gives the Giants an impressive skills group that also includes Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, and Saquon Barkley.

Toney plays bigger than his 5-foot-11, 194-pound frame suggests. He’s an ideal fit in the slot and can make plays after the catch. He can also make plays in the return game, giving him versatility. Toney gives Daniel Jones another premium target in the passing game.

While Toney could be viewed as a reach with Elijah Moore and Rashod Bateman still on the board, it’s clear that the Giants coveted a wide receiver. This has the makings of a solid offense, as long as the pass protection holds up and Jones can protect the football.

Kadarius Toney 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook

Toney is an easy fantasy football avoid on a team with too many mouths to feed. He’ll likely be fifth in the pecking order for targets, behind Golladay, Barkley, Shepard, and Slayton. I wouldn’t even consider targeting him, even in deeper leagues. New York simply has too many mouths to feed in this offense, and I’m not the biggest fan of Toney as a prospect.

Kadarius Toney Dynasty Fantasy Football Outlook

You’d have to think that with the draft capital invested in Toney, you’ll likely see the Giants move on from Shepard. This would allow Toney to take over as the primary slot receiver for the Giants. With Toney’s ability to make plays after the catch, we could see him develop into a solid WR3, but he’s not a player that I’d prioritize.

I’d take Elijah Moore or Rashod Bateman over Toney without hesitation.

New York Giants 2021 Bet Tips With Kadarius Toney

All New York Giants 2021 NFL Futures bets are provided by BetMGM. (New customers get a Second-Chance Bet of up to $600 by clicking here or using the code THEGAMEDAY.)

2021 New York Giants Win Total

  • Over 7 Wins (-125)
  • Under 7 Wins (-125)

The Giants are an improved team after adding Golladay and Toney, so they should be able to eclipse last season’s win total of six games last year. The Giants also have an improving defense, so they have the look of a 7-to-9-win team.

Giants To Make Playoffs?

  • Yes (+250)
  • No (-300)

The Giants are a solid value to make the playoffs. I think Jones will make a leap as a passer, and this is absolutely worth a look.

Giants To Win NFC East Division Title

Giants To Win NFC East (+500)

This team has the potential to win the division, so this price is too low and we need to take advantage. While the Cowboys and WFT look like the favorites, the Giants are not as bad as these odds suggest. I’d sprinkle this one.

Giants To Win Super Bowl 56

Giants To Win Super Bowl 56 (+10000)

The Giants are headed in the right direction, but they’re not ready to contend for a championship.

Kadarius Toney 2021 Prop Bet

Kadarius Toney to win Offensive Rookie of the Year (+3000)

Toney has virtually no chance for this award considering the competition for targets. Easy pass.
