2021 NFL Win Total Bets: Over/Under Picks To Wager

Arizona Cardinals: OVER 8 Regular Season Wins

Last year, the Cardinals finished 8-8, good for third in the NFC West behind the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams. The difficult competition in their own division will be the biggest hurdle for Arizona’s success in 2021.

Adding J.J. Watt was the big addition this offseason, but they also added cornerback Malcolm Butler and have linebacker Malcolm Jones on a contract year. They will have to replace the production of Hasson Reddick‘s 12.5 sacks, but could probably do so with the No. 16 overall selection.

Of course, defensive cornerstone pieces Budda Baker and Isaiah Simmons are already in place.

Offensively, Kyler Murray‘s relationship with Kliff Kingsbury will be entering Year 3. DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and A.J. Green make up an impressive receiving trio, and Arizona could seek to upgrade tight end Maxx Williams. They already have an intriguing run game with James Conner and Chase Edmonds.

The Cardinals only have five draft picks, and two of those are seventh-rounders. However, they managed to scrape together eight wins in 2020, so with the NFL’s 17th game, paired with coin flip odds at -110, I’d ride the over.

Houston Texans: UNDER 4.5 Regular Season Wins

I have absolutely no idea what the Texans are doing right now. Nor does anyone else.

This goes beyond the obvious issues surrounding Deshaun Watson off the field.

The good news is barely good news. They added quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who could be the Week 1 starter. They also added running back Phillip Lindsay and defensive pieces like cornerback Terrance Mitchell and linebacker Christian Kirksey.

The Texans released J.J. Watt and will be without Bradley Roby for their first game of the season due to a suspension. Will Fuller departed to Miami via free agency.

Also, they hired former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver coach David Culley as head coach and they do not have draft picks in the first or second rounds. Sounds like a plan for failure, or success, if you bet on them to win under five games.
