  • Justin Fields Draft Position: 4.5 — Pick 5 or later
  • Over 2.70 (+170)/Under 1.44 (-227)

One of the biggest questions surrounding this year’s draft is where will Justin Fields be selected? Coming into this season, Fields was widely considered to be the second-best quarterback prospect behind Trevor Lawrence, but he’s been surpassed by Zach Wilson.

The Jaguars are a lock to select Lawrence first (-10000) and the Jets are likely to take Wilson second (-2500), leaving the 49ers at three as the highest slot for Fields to be selected. The 49ers are guaranteed to take a quarterback after trading up for this pick, but does Kyle Shanahan have his sights set on Mac Jones?

At first, it was widely reported that Shanahan was smitten with Jones, with Adam Schefter stating that the former Alabama star is the likely choice. Daniel Jeremiah also listed Jones at third overall in his most recent mock draft.

However, after Fields had his second Pro Day on April 14, the odds moved towards him as the favorite to go third overall (-132). I think this is an overreaction to the 49ers presence at the second Pro Day and I believe that Jones will be the pick at third overall. There’s just too much smoke for there not to be fire here.

That leaves the Atlanta Falcons at fourth overall. It appears that they are content with moving forward with Matt Ryan for the time being. There has been virtually no buzz on the Falcons targeting a quarterback in this year’s draft, but they could still take Fields or even Trey Lance. However, the most likely scenario is for them to trade down.

Mike Lombardi reported that the Washington Football Team loves Lance and will make an effort to trade up from 19th overall to select the former North Dakota State star. The Falcons plan to attend Lance’s second Pro Day on April 19th and have received calls to trade down.

It really looks like the first four selections of this year’s draft will be quarterbacks, with the odd man out likely falling towards the end of the top 10 picks. If you’re betting on the over here, you’re projecting the rumors to be true about Jones and the 49ers, as well as the Falcons or a trade partner selecting Lance.

Given that the over still has solid value, this looks like the best play here. There’s just too much risk in laying -227 on the under because of the presence of two other premium quarterback prospects. Take the value and bet on the over.

The Golden State Warriors are -10000 to win the Western Conference, according to BettingPros consensus odds.

  • Warriors -143 to win NBA Championship

The Golden State Warriors are -143 to win the 2021-22 NBA Championship, per BettingPros consensus odds.

    Betting Impact:
With the Western Conference Finals all but wrapped up with the Warriors holding a 3-0 series lead, Golden State has become the first team pegged with negative juice to win it all. Their odds will only see more movement prior to Game 4, and after they win the series, so those with designs on a Warriors future may want to take that into consideration.

  • Celtics +340 to win NBA Title

The Boston Celtics are listed at +340 to win the 2021-22 NBA Championship, per BettingPros consensus odds.

    Betting Impact:
Boston, back at the +340 they sat at prior to Game 2, has seen their championship odds hold steady despite their odds to win the East dropping from positive to negative juice. Boston was +180 prior to Game 3's loss.

  • Celtics -105 to win East

The Boston Celtics are -105 to win the Eastern Conference, per BettingPros consensus odds.

    Betting Impact:
The Celtics sat at +130 just yesterday but have climbed in the wake of the news that Tyler Herro is out with a quad injury and due to Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry both being listed as questionable for Game 4. If Boston ties up the series, their odds will rise dramatically. Boston was -167 heading into Game 3.

  • Celtics vs. Heat over/under listed at 206.5
