Sam Darnold had a terrific debut season with the Seahawks, completing 67.7% of his passes for 4,048 yards with 25 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
The former Viking was a big-play passer all year, as highlighted by his 8.5 yards per attempt.
It’s extremely impressive how Darnold has been able to resurrect his career in the last two seasons. Now, he’ll try to top it all off with a Super Bowl.
On this page, we’ll dive into the best Sam Darnold props for Super Bowl 60, where he could benefit from a pass-heavy game script.

Sam Darnold: Over 230.5 Passing Yards (-111) vs Patriots
The Patriots have a brick wall of a run defense with defensive tackle Milton Williams back in the lineup. We’ve seen them shut down RJ Harvey, Woody Marks, and Kimani Vidal throughout the playoffs.
To that end, it could be tough sledding for Kenneth Walker III in this game. If he’s inefficient on the ground like the other backs have been, that means we could see more passing volume from Darnold. More passing volume means more opportunities to eclipse this number.

This is a reasonable bar at 230.5 passing yards, especially considering that Darnold just threw for 346 yards against the Rams. Darnold also averaged 238.1 passing yards per game this year.
With that in mind, take Darnold over 230.5 passing yards as your NFL pick of the day.
Sam Darnold: Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-120) vs Patriots
Here we have a correlated prop with my passing yards angle. I’m expecting Walker to be slowed down by the Patriots’ front-seven, resulting in more pass attempts for Darnold.
This can be magnified in the red zone, where it’s likely to be difficult for Walker to get those tough yards, especially in a condensed area inside the five-yard line.

Darnold has thrown for 2+ touchdowns in only one of his last four games, but this is a spot where the Seahawks have a 25.5-point implied total, meaning they’re projected to score at least three touchdowns.
For one of my favorite Super Bowl prop bets, I’ll bet that two of those come from Darnold.
Sam Darnold: Wins Super Bowl MVP (+115)
Darnold is the favorite in the Super Bowl MVP odds, which isn’t surprising.
For one, the Seahawks are 4.5-point favorites, so they’re projected to win this game. This award is generally given to a player on the winning team.

As with the regular-season MVP, the Super Bowl version is a quarterback-centric award. Quarterbacks have won Super Bowl MVP in 12 of the last 16 years.
Despite the underwhelming odds, we’ll take a chance on Darnold to take home the hardware. You could go with this wager instead of Seahawks ML (-238). If Seattle wins, there’s a great chance that Darnold is MVP.
