NBA Blocks Leader Odds 2025

Last Updated: 4 hours ago

Height and a healthy wingspan aren’t the only requirements to become an elite NBA shot blocker, but those physical traits certainly help.

Just ask the 7-foot-5 Victor Wembanyama, who boasts an otherworldly 8-foot wingspan and just so happens to be the league’s two-time reigning blocks leader.

Unsurprisingly, the San Antonio Spurs star is the overwhelming favorite to top this stat category again this upcoming season.

Below, I’ll assess the latest NBA blocks leader odds and make my picks for the 2025-26 campaign.

NBA Blocks Leader Odds

These NBA lines are current as of Monday, Oct. 20, at 3:30 p.m. ET and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Victor Wembanyama (-300)
  • Chet Holmgren (+1700)
  • Evan Mobley (+2000)
  • Walker Kessler (+2200)
  • Myles Turner (+2200)
  • Donovan Clingan (+3000)
  • Anthony Davis (+3000)
  • Alexandre Sarr (+3000)
  • Jaren Jackson Jr. (+4000)

All other players have (+5000) odds or longer.

Who Will Be the NBA Blocks Leader in 2025-26?

Victor Wembanyama (-300)

I don’t love the idea of locking up my money on a -300 futures wager, but this bet feels pretty safe.

Wembanyama has led the NBA in blocks in each of his two NBA seasons, averaging 3.7 per game for his career.

The 21-year-old recorded 176 blocks a season ago despite only featuring in 46 contests due to injury. That total was still enough to clear the next closest contender, Brook Lopez, by 28, even though Lopez played in 80 of a possible 82 games.

Wembanyama led this stat category by a 64-block margin in his rookie campaign, accumulating 254 rejections in 71 contests.

If he plays anywhere near a full complement of games, he’ll retain his title as the NBA’s blocks leader, so I’m making this my NBA bet of the day.

NBA Blocks Leader Contenders

Chet Holmgren (+1700)

Holmgren is another lanky seven-footer who has displayed an aptitude for blocking shots when healthy. Unfortunately, the Oklahoma City Thunder center has found himself on the sidelines a lot in his young career.

The 23-year-old finished as the runner-up to Wembanyama in the 2023-24 campaign, racking up 190 blocks in 82 games, but featured in just 32 regular-season games last year before helping the Thunder win the NBA title.

Holmgren has averaged 2.3 blocks per game in his career, so he’ll have to play considerably more than Wembanyama to take this title.

Evan Mobley (+2000)

Mobley overcame similar placement in the NBA Defensive Player of the Year odds last season, but this mountain feels even tougher to climb.

The 6-foot-11 center for the Cleveland Cavaliers recorded 113 blocks in 71 regular-season appearances, good for fifth-most in the NBA. However, he fell 63 short of Wemby’s total despite playing 25 additional games.

Mobley has averaged 1.6 blocks per game for his career, and while he’s an elite defender, I’m not sure I ever see him leading the league in blocks.

NBA Blocks Leader Sleepers

Walker Kessler (+2200)

Kessler is an intriguing dark-horse candidate to the lead the NBA in blocks.

The Utah Jazz center averaged 2.4 rejections per contest last season, good for the second-best average in the league behind Wembanyama.

He has consistently hit that average across three NBA campaigns and is the most likely candidate to benefit should the Spurs’ star miss time.

At these odds, Kessler could be worth a small wager.

Donovan Clingan (+3000)

At 7-foot-2, 280 pounds, Clingan brings a mixture of size, physicality, and athleticism to the paint that few centers in the league can match.

It’s why he’s an intriguing candidate in this market and the NBA rebounds leader odds.

Clingan blocked 110 shots in his rookie campaign, putting him in a tie for seventh league-wide with perennial All-Star Anthony Davis. However, what’s more impressive is that the 21-year-old averaged 1.6 blocks per contest despite playing just 19.8 minutes per night.

If Clingan earns a larger role in the Portland rotation this season and can sustain those production levels, he could make a run at this.
