If you took the Jacksonville Jaguars to beat the Cincinnati Bengals this past week, the Survivor year has likely ended. And on Monday night, it did for many.
An injury to QB Trevor Lawrence, coupled with the surprise play of fellow QB Jake Browning, ultimately led to a massive upset.
If you are still alive, be thankful. Also, take full advantage of the fresh life.
A few key options stand out as we move to Week 14, while a handful of decent opportunities should be available.
Here’s a breakdown of NFL Week 14 with an eye on making it another week. As always, survive and advance.
Survivor Week 14 Best Picks
Miami Dolphins vs Tennessee Titans
The Dolphins were a fixture of last week’s picks and responded without issue against the Commanders.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wideout Tyreek Hill were sensational yet again. At this point, it’s becoming the norm. A week later, and the Titans likely aren’t going to put up a much better fight on the road against the duo.
That coupled with the fact that Tennessee has eclipsed 20 points only once in the last five weeks, and the outcome of this football game starts to take shape.
The Dolphins are now the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and this won’t be the game or week where that changes. Miami will win this by double digits.
This could get ugly.

San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks
Although the Seahawks have enough good players to make some wary, the 49ers are on a different level.
That was more than apparent last week against the Eagles, which didn’t stand a chance at home against San Francisco. The 49ers won 42-19, thanks in part to a four-touchdown performance by QB Brock Purdy.
San Francisco heads home this week, and the oddsmakers label the team as a double-digit favorite. It’s a sizable line, considering Seattle is 6-6. In the last five games, however, the Seahawks have lost four times.
That doesn’t bode well for a game like this. (And it won’t.)
San Francisco wins and covers the spread.

Survivor Week 14 Sleeper
Pittsburgh Steelers vs New England Patriots
Oh, it will be an ugly football game. Let’s not shy away from that.
New England is a complete and utter mess, and the Bill Belichick era appears to be nearing its end in Foxboro. The Patriots have lost eight of their last nine games and scored 13 points in the last three weeks combined.
Woof.
Meanwhile, the Steelers will counter with a backup quarterback. Kenny Pickett is out, and Mitch Trubisky is in. Weirdly, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the offense do even better, given Pickett’s up-and-down year.
Regardless, it won’t matter against the Patriots. This team is down worse than just about any team in the league right now. A below-average performance from the QB should be enough.
Survivor Week 14 Team to Save for the Future
Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills
There’s a bit of mystery surrounding both of these teams, so we’re staying away.
Kansas City, in particular, comes into this matchup limping. A loss at Green Bay was unexpected, and Patrick Mahomes never looked quite like himself. The KC defense also struggled against Jordan Love, which is cause for concern with Josh Allen up next.
The Bills have their own issues, of course. Allen has been inconsistent, the defense has injuries, and the play hasn’t been what was expected.
But the team has talent, clearly. And in a one-game situation, this group is still a lot to deal with.
This is not the game many were expecting it to be. It’s also a clear stay away for now.
Survivor Week 14 Chalk Team That Could Lose
Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears
Although their records are vastly different, the oddsmakers don’t believe this game will be at all lopsided.
That was very much the case a few weeks back when Detroit barely snuck by the Bears at home. The Lions needed a sizable comeback in that matchup. They have since lost to the Packers and narrowly beat the Saints.
While Chicago has its issues, it has been a much more competitive team in recent weeks. The return of Justin Fields, who is likely playing for his future with this franchise, has certainly helped.
An outdoor game on a slower playing surface should be a good thing for the Bears here. And given how Detroit has wobbled in recent weeks, it would not be shocking to see a mild upset in this spot.
