Last week, the weather played some havoc with game outlooks, but my greatest pain came from a game that was not affected by any adverse conditions. The Lions failed on a two-point conversion that left them with 23 points when I had recommended them at Over 23.5, a loss that swung my destiny from a winning to losing week in game props.
I am not seeing any major weather factors that will impact any of my picks for NFL Week 17. I will aim for a pair of Unders and one Over from three teams in the NFC West that have been struggling recently or overall.

Week 17 NFL Player Prop Bets will be out later this week. For now, I’m eyeing these player prop bets:
Cam Akers: Over 69.5 Rushing Yards (-115) at Chargers (DraftKings Sportsbook)
WAGER: 2 Units
Akers is starting to recapture his best form late in the season. The matchup is also very favorable vs the Chargers’ defense, positioning this wager as a prime Week 17 NFL bet.
In Week 16, Akers rushed for a season-high 118 yards vs Denver. The Chargers allow the second-most rushing yards in the NFL to running backs.
Tyler Allgeier: Over 77.5 Rushing Yards (-115) vs Cardinals (DraftKings Sportsbook)
WAGER: 2 Units
The rookie has started to emerge as a sturdy lead back for the Falcons late in the season. In Week 15, Allgeier rushed for 139 yards on 17 carries and a TD, and in Week 16, he rushed for 74 yards on 18 carries against Baltimore’s third-ranked run defense.
Arizona ranks 22nd in rushing yards allowed to running backs over the past four weeks and its defense will spend a lot of time on the field because of ongoing QB issues. In the past two games, Allgeier has displayed a determined, and often physical running style.
Zonovan Knight: Over 58.5 Rushing Yards (-115) at Seahawks (DraftKings Sportsbook)
WAGER: 2 Units
We have seen the best of Knight in the three games started by Mike White for the Jets this season. He has averaged 76.6 rushing yards in those three games.
The Seahawks have consistently been among the lowest-ranked defensive units against the run this year, and they rank 30th in rushing yards allowed to running backs over the past four weeks.

Josh Allen: Over 247.5 Passing Yards(-115) at Bengals (DraftKings Sportsbook)
WAGER: 1.5 Units
This game has the second-highest projected point total of the week at 49.5, so I am expecting the quarterbacks to consistently try to match each other in a higher-scoring affair. Allen passed for 304 yards two weeks ago in a 32-29 win over Miami, and you should see a similar type of aerial duel in this featured Week 17 clash of AFC powers.
The Bengals rank 25th in passing yards allowed to opposing quarterbacks over the past four weeks.
Aaron Rodgers: Over 249.5 Passing Yards (-115) vs Vikings (DraftKings Sportsbook)
WAGER: 1 Unit
Rodgers is not the gunner he used to be with lesser weaponry this season, as he has not gotten past the projected yardage total in the last six games. But the Vikings’ pass defense can certainly allow any opposing passer to exceed expectations.
Minnesota allows 281.5 passing yards per game, which ranks last in the NFL. Daniel Jones passed for 334 yards vs the Vikings last week, his second-highest total of the season.
DJ Chark: Anytime TD Scorer (+160) vs Bears (DraftKings Sportsbook)
WAGER: 1 Unit
As I have noted throughout the season, Jared Goff does his best work in home games, as he has passed for 20 of his 26 TDs at Ford Field. This game has the highest projected total of the week at 52.5, so he may finish with three-plus TD passes.
Amon-Ra St. Brown is the easier Anytime TD play at -110, but Chark should benefit from the heavy defensive attention St. Brown receives. Chark is averaging 17.3 yards per reception and he is capable of scoring from anywhere on the field.
NFL Prop Bets Week 17
Rams vs Chargers: LAR Over 17.5 Total Points (-105) at DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 2 Units
The Chargers’ defense has played very well recently, allowing a total of 34 points in its last three games. But the Rams exploded for a season-high 51 points last week against a Broncos defense that was allowing 18 points per game coming into the matchup.
I expect the Rams to battle hard for local bragging rights while Baker Mayfield continues on his quest to show that he is still capable of being a quality QB in the NFL and the Chargers’ defense ranks 26th in rushing yards allowed.
Bills vs Bengals: BUF Over 24.5 Points (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 2 Units
Buffalo has scored 67 points in its last two games and will keep rolling in this marquee matchup that is critical for AFC playoff positioning.
The Bengals have allowed 23-plus points in two of their last four games. Cincinnati allows 20.4 points per game, and the Bills will get past that number and the projected total as Allen trades offensive punches with Joe Burrow.
Cardinals vs Falcons: ARI Under 17.5 Total Points (-115) at DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 2 Units
The Arizona offense has completely sunk without Kyler Murray leading the way. In the last three games, the Cardinals have totaled 44 points, and they scored only 16 points last week while extending to overtime.
Atlanta has lost four consecutive games, but it has not allowed more than 21 points in those defeats and three of its opponents were held under 20 points during that span.
Bears vs Lions: DET Over 13.5 1st Half Points (-130) at DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 2 Units
The Lions average 17.1 first-half points per game at home, which ranks third in the NFL.
Chicago allows 19.3 first-half points per game, the second-most in the league. The Lions should coast to a healthy amount of points on their way to cracking 30 points for the second time against Chicago this season.
Vikings vs Packers: Over 5.5 Total TDs (-105) at DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 1.5 Units
The Vikings have scored fewer than 27 points just once in their last five games. They also allow 24.8 points per game, which is the second-highest average per game allowed in the NFL.
Green Bay has averaged 27.7 points per game in its last four. The Packers are on a three-game win streak and will stick right with the Vikings on the scoreboard as they try to keep their postseason hopes alive.
Jets vs Seahawks: SEA 11-20 Total Points Band (+155) at DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
Seattle has scored a total of 23 points in its last two games. The Jets have not allowed more than 20 points in six of their last seven games.
The Seahawks’ offense has regressed in recent weeks, and Geno Smith has two TD passes in his past two games. New York’s fourth-ranked defense will make Seattle work hard to put points on the board, but the Seahawks will certainly get into double figures.
