C.J. Uzomah Super Bowl Props 2022 | Uzomah Prop Bets vs Rams

Last Updated: Feb 10, 2022

The Cincinnati Bengals have advanced to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1989 and will attempt to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the first time in franchise history.

To do so, Joe Burrow and his pass-catchers will have to overcome a stingy Los Angeles Rams pass defense that has allowed just 220.7 passing yards per game and three TD passes during the playoffs.

Cincinnati has the weaponry needed to meet the challenge, however, and it is looking like they will get their top tight end, C.J. Uzomah, back for Super Bowl LVI. Uzomah was carted off the field against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game with a knee injury but has proclaimed that he is not missing “the biggest game of his life.”

An extra week of recovery certainly can improve Uzomah’s outlook for the Super Bowl. With that in mind, here are the best prop bets to consider for Uzomah against the Rams in Super Bowl 56.

Please note that all Super Bowl 56 odds and lines are current as of 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, February 10.

Anytime TD Scorer (+230) at BetMGM

The Over/Under for the Super Bowl is currently 48.5 points on our NFL gameday odds, which suggests that each team should score three-plus touchdowns. Game script should also dictate that Cincinnati will be passing the ball frequently, as they’ll have to throw often to keep pace with LA’s high-powered offense.

Burrow has passed for multiple TDs in two playoff games so far, and with the Rams heavily focused on containing Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, Uzomah could see opportunities to score as the Bengals fling the ball around the yard.

Uzomah caught a seven-yard TD pass in the Wild Card Round and had five TD receptions during the regular season, making him a solid bet to score here for our NFL bet of the day.

Four of his six total TD receptions have come outside of the 19-yard line, so Uzomah is a threat to gain extra yards after the catch and find the end zone against a Rams defense that just surrendered a 16-yard TD catch to San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle in the NFC Championship Game.

Over 35 Receiving Yards (TBD)

Wager: 1 Unit

If Uzomah suits up without any reported limitations, you cannot hold back on taking the Over on his receiving yardage numbers. If he is medically and fully cleared for action, you should consider him safe enough to wager on, as the Bengals aren’t going to rely on a lesser version of Uzomah in the biggest game of the year.

Keep checking back on BetMGM for his official receiving prop, but Uzomah’s prop number was 36.5 yards in the AFC Championship Game. If he’s a full-go, Uzomah should be counted on for 45-plus receiving yards after tallying 135 receiving yards in Cincinnati’s first two postseason games.

You may be hesitant on Uzomah because of his injury status, but recent reports have suggested he should be productive if activated and starting as usual. He has 22 catches on 27 targets over his last four full games and should be busy with Burrow likely airing it out.
