LeBron James is expected to make his season debut for the Los Angeles Lakers tonight against the Utah Jazz.
The 40-year-old, who has missed the start of the campaign with sciatica, will make history tonight by featuring in his 23rd NBA season.

LeBron James: Under 15.5 Points (-114) vs Jazz
To lead off my LeBron James prop bets, I’m betting that he’ll score 15 or fewer points in his season debut.
This bet is risky since the Jazz rank 28th in the Association in scoring defense, allowing 123.7 points per game.
However, we have no idea how many minutes LeBron will log in his season debut, and he’ll likely have to shake off some shooting rust.
James averaged 24.4 points per game last season, his lowest total since his rookie year. He scored just 16 points in his 2024-25 season debut against the Minnesota Timberwolves despite being fully healthy and playing 35 minutes.
I think he’ll let Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves continue to carry the scoring load for Los Angeles tonight, making this my NBA pick of the day.
LeBron James: Over 4.5 Assists (-132) vs Jazz
With that last tidbit in mind, I’m taking the Over on this LeBron James assist prop.
James averaged 8.2 assists per game last season, the sixth-most in the NBA, and recorded double-digit dimes in two of four matchups against the Jazz.
Utah allows the most opponent assists in the league this season (29.8 per game), so a facilitator like James should be able to get to five, even in limited minutes.
LeBron James: Over 5.5 Rebounds (+105) vs Jazz
I also like the Over on this LeBron James rebounding prop.
James averaged 7.8 rebounds per contest last season, the most of any Laker who played at least 50 games.
Los Angeles has desperately missed his energy on the glass, as it is tied for the fourth-fewest rebounds (41.1 per game) in the league.
Contrarily, Utah (48.3 boards per game) is one of the best rebounding teams in the league, but I think James will make a point to attack the glass as a way of getting himself involved and testing out his injury.
