AJ Barner had a career year in his sophomore NFL season, catching 52 of 68 targets for 519 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Seattle’s second-year tight end established himself as one of Sam Darnold’s favorite targets in the red zone.
This is one of the most underrated tight ends in the NFL, so we can find some value here, given the matchup.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at my favorite AJ Barner props for Super Bowl 60.
AJ Barner Super Bowl Props
All NFL odds used for these AJ Barner Super Bowl props are current as of Friday, Feb. 6, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
AJ Barner: Over 24.5 Receiving Yards (-114) vs Patriots
Barner averaged 30.5 receiving yards per game this season, which is well above this line of 24.5. We’ve seen Barner soar over this number at times this year, including five games with 40+ receiving yards.
Even though Barner has barely made an impact this postseason, combining for 13 yards in two games, he could play a larger role against the Patriots.
- Prepare for Patriots vs Seahawks with our Super Bowl 60 predictions.
New England has been tougher on wide receivers than tight ends this season, ranking 22nd in the NFL in receiving yards allowed to tight ends.
We saw Dalton Schultz put up 47 yards in the AFC Divisional Round, so Barner could do something similar here. I’ll back the over as my NFL pick of the day.
AJ Barner: Longest Reception Over 12.5 Yards (-110) vs Patriots
For the next of my Super Bowl prop bets, I’ll add Barner’s longest reception to go over 12.5 yards, even though he averaged 10 yards per reception on the season.
Barner has made some big plays at times, including a 61-yard catch against the Jaguars earlier this year.

Additionally, we’ve seen Barner go over this number in seven of his last 10 games. This includes a 26-yard catch against the Rams, so there’s a nice ceiling here. That gives you a chance to also target his alternate line for a better payout.
With top cornerback Christian Gonzalez locked onto Jaxon Smith-Njigba on the perimeter, that may open up room for Barner to make an impact over the middle. We’ll take our chances at this reasonable number.
AJ Barner: First Touchdown (+1300) vs Patriots
We’ll finish off our AJ Barner prop bets by going with a longshot. It’s always tough to nail a first touchdown pick, so it’s best to pick a player with a larger return on investment.
The Seahawks are 4.5-point favorites, so they’re more likely to score the first touchdown. Why not take a shot on Barner, who found the end zone six times this season?
- Find the end zone with our Super Bowl touchdown props.
I’m expecting the Patriots to be able to slow down Kenneth Walker III due to their elite run defense with Milton Williams in the lineup, especially in the red zone.
That would give Barner a chance to haul in a touchdown reception, making +1300 odds look like good value. Consider pairing this wager with our 2026 best sportsbook promos.
