Heisman Trophy Odds & Predictions 2025

Last Updated: Dec 2, 2025

The race for the Heisman Trophy is in the homestretch, with three quarterbacks having separated themselves from the pack for college football’s most coveted award.

History suggests things will likely stay that way. Twenty of the last 25 winners have played quarterback. Last year, of course, was an exception (Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter).

Ahead of the Dec. 13 ceremony in New York, here are my Heisman Trophy best bets.

Top Heisman Candidates 2025

All NCAAF odds used for these Heisman Trophy predictions are current as of Tuesday, Dec. 2, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana (+160)
  • Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State (+170)
  • Diego Pavia, QB, Vanderbilt (+190)
  • Jeremiah Love, RB, Notre Dame (+3000)
  • Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State (+20000)
  • Gunner Stockton, QB, Georgia (+30000)
  • Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama (+30000)
  • Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech (+30000)

Who Will Win the Heisman Trophy?

Julian Sayin (+170)

Sayin delivered a Heisman-like performance against Michigan, recovering from an early interception to throw for 233 yards and three touchdowns as top-ranked Ohio State snapped its four-game losing streak in The Game.

He will have another prime opportunity to bolster his case in Saturday’s Big Ten Championship against Indiana, with the winner locking up the No. 1 overall seed in the College Football Playoff.

The sophomore leads the country in completion percentage (78.9) to go with 3,065 yards, 30 touchdowns, and just five interceptions.

Back the Buckeyes quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy as your NCAAF bet of the day.

Heisman Trophy Contenders

Fernando Mendoza (+160)

Mendoza is considered the slight Heisman Trophy odds frontrunner thanks to impressive stats, including an FBS-leading 32 touchdown passes, and his role in leading Indiana to its best season in program history.

It was a quiet finish to the regular season for the junior, who threw for a season-low 117 yards and two touchdowns on 8-of-15 passing in a 56-3 rout of Purdue, but opportunity beckons Saturday against Sayin and No. 1 Ohio State.

Knock off the undefeated Buckeyes, and Mendoza should lock up the Heisman.

Diego Pavia (+190)

In Saturday’s 45-24 upset of Tennessee, Pavia accounted for 433 yards (268 passing, 165 rushing) and a pair of touchdowns.

The victory not only snapped Vanderbilt’s six-game losing streak in the rivalry but also cemented the school’s first double-digit win season.

Pavia was outstanding in November as the Commodores staked their claim to a CFP spot, passing for 1,494 yards and 12 touchdowns in four games.

But without another game before the Heisman ceremony, it probably won’t be enough to overtake Mendoza and Sayin as the Heisman Trophy winner pick.

Heisman Trophy Sleeper Pick

Jeremiah Love (+3000)

The first non-quarterback on the odds board, Love has been spectacular for 10-2 Notre Dame.

Love ranks fourth in the country in rushing yards (1,372) and third in rushing touchdowns (18). He has six 100-yard games, including a 228-yard performance in a 34-24 win over USC on Oct. 18.

Despite that, Love lacks the defining moment that can push a player with his profile over the top.
