Raiders vs Seahawks Predictions & Odds

Last Updated: Nov 22, 2022

The Seattle Seahawks (6-4) will play host this week to Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders (3-7). The storylines for these two teams this year couldn’t be different. Seattle has already exceeded expectations while the Raiders have done the exact opposite.

Las Vegas is fresh off their first road win of the season and will look to win back-to-back games for the first time all season. Geno Smith and Seattle, however, just had their bye week after losing in Germany to the Buccaneers in Week 10.

Both of these teams have something to prove this week and the Seahawks get home-field advantage to bounce back and show everyone that they’re the real deal.

Continue reading for my best bets and predictions for this Week 12 matchup between Seattle and Las Vegas.

Raiders vs Seahawks Odds

The Seahawks open this one as the favorites, and rightfully so. They’ve been a pleasant surprise this year as Smith has taken over just fine in the absence of star quarterback Russell Wilson.

Although they are coming off a bye week and a loss before that, they were on a four-game winning streak since Week 6. I’m not surprised at all that the Seahawks are the early favorites in this matchup as the Raiders and Carr have been massively disappointing this year, currently tied with the Broncos for last place in the AFC West.

Raiders vs Seahawks Implied Totals

Seahawks 26.5, Raiders 21.5

Expect a high-scoring affair in this one, as this matchup has the third-highest implied point total for Week 12. The total is set at 47.5 on FanDuel as the Seahawks play host to the Raiders.

Raiders vs Seahawks Prediction

Seahawks 30, Raiders 27

Don’t let the loss to the Buccaneers fool you; this Seahawks team is legit. Their defense is playing well and Smith has been fantastic leading this offense, with the seventh-most passing yards for a quarterback this year at 2,474, despite already having his bye week. He’s also thrown 17 touchdowns, the sixth-most in the NFL.

The Raiders ended their three-game losing streak with a win last week in overtime against the Broncos. However, they’re struggling with their offensive weapons right now due to injuries as both Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow are on the IR and will miss this one.

The Seahawks have also been hurt by some injuries this year after losing Rashaad Penny with a broken leg and their star safety Jamal Adams is on the IR, as well. Needless to say, both teams have their share of injuries to deal with.

I’m expecting a high-scoring match-up here as both teams are coming out with something to prove. The Raiders’ defense gives up the fifth-most points per game in the NFL. I’m expecting the explosive rookie running back Kenneth Walker to have himself a day on the ground, while Smith throws for multiple touchdowns.

Raiders vs Seahawks Bet Tips

  • The Seahawks have won 7 of 12 games after their bye week under Pete Carroll.

  • Seattle is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games.

Raiders vs Seahawks Best Bets

Seahawks to Cover -3.5 (-115) at FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: .5 Units

While the Seahawks open up as the early favorites by just 3.5 points, I’m expecting them to blow the Raiders out this week. Smith has both of his top wide receivers healthy in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Tight end Noah Fant is starting to get comfortable in Seattle and has been trending up, as well.

The biggest weapon as of late has been Walker, putting his explosiveness on full display since taking over for the injured Penny. Las Vegas is one of the easier matchups on paper for opposing running backs and that’s going to really kickstart the offense this week and let the Seahawks put up plenty of points.

Over 47.5 Points (-110) at FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Seahawks are currently scoring the fifth-most points in the NFL on the season. They’re 12th in rushing yards and 13th in passing yards, while the Raiders defense has struggled this year.

Seattle has been tougher against opposing quarterbacks this year, but we know that Carr can air it out and lean on Davante Adams if they get behind, which they should. I’ll be taking the Over in this one as both offenses will put plenty of points on the board.
