The Houston Texans and New England Patriots will go at it in a potential low-scoring game in the AFC Divisional Round.
The Texans have had a dominant defense all year, while the Patriots continue to improve, most recently shutting down Justin Herbert and the Chargers.
Points are likely to be hard to come by here, so we’ll have to dig in to find the best Texans vs Patriots props for this AFC Divisional Round matchup.

Best Texans vs Patriots Player Props
C.J. Stroud: Under 204.5 Passing Yards (-111) @ Patriots
The Texans have a run-heavy and vanilla offense, where C.J. Stroud averaged only 217.2 passing yards per game.
This spot is tough against the Patriots, who just held Herbert to only 159 yards on 31 attempts. Before that, Quinn Ewers (137 yards), Brady Cook (152 yards), and Lamar Jackson/Tyler Huntley (166 yards) couldn’t do much, either.
Stroud could also be without his top wide receiver, Nico Collins, who suffered a concussion against the Steelers on Monday night.
In a low-scoring game where there should be several shortened drives and plenty of punts, it’s a good spot to fade Stroud in our NFL pick of the day.
DeMario Douglas: Under 18.5 Receiving Yards (-113) vs Texans
DeMario Douglas has been a non-factor for the Patriots in recent weeks. Just take a look at his game log:
- Wild Card: 1 reception, 3 yards
- Week 18: 2 receptions, 29 yards
- Week 17: 1 reception, 10 yards
- Week 16: 1 reception, 6 yards
- Week 15: 0 receptions, 0 yards
Up next is one of the best defenses in the NFL, so it’s hard to see Douglas making much of an impact here. Even at the low bar of 18.5 receiving yards, I’m on the under.

Drake Maye: Over 35.5 Rushing Yards (-108) vs Texans
Maye made a major impact with his legs in the win over the Chargers, racking up 66 yards on 10 carries.
This ability was an under-utilized aspect of Maye’s game this year, as his yards per carry dipped from 7.8 to 4.4, but it’s clear that he’s a dual-threat.

This matchup against the Texans could force Maye to keep running, as Houston has a terrific pass rush. It wouldn’t shock me to see Maye scramble while under duress.
It’s also worth noting that the Texans allowed 6.42 yards per carry to quarterbacks this season, which ranked 31st in the NFL.
Hunter Henry: Longest Reception Under 18.5 Yards (-115) vs Texans
Henry is coming off a big game against the Chargers, where he put up three catches for 64 yards and a touchdown.
The veteran tight end has gone over this number in three consecutive games, but I’m riding with the under.

That’s because the Texans allowed 6.3 yards per target to tight ends, which ranked fourth in the NFL.
Houston can limit big plays allowed to tight ends, so we’ll go against Henry here.
